Happy New Year 2009!

Fropper wishes all you lovely friends a very, very Happy New Year!
It's been another year of great fun and love and we can't thank you all enough for that. We're sure the year was of hits and misses for all of us in various aspects, but that's what we call life, right? So let's learn from our mistakes, cherish all the good times and keep having fun!

The greatest tragedy of our times... Your say?

For the last few days we witnessed one of the greatest tragedies. The terror strike in Mumbai. Hundreds died, hundreds injured, loss of property worth crores in an already slump period, perpetual fear, frustration, anger, helplessness... India is shocked by the attacks, numbed too.

Our prayers for the souls of the victims who lost their lives, the brave officers, condolences to their families and dear ones. A big thank you and kudos to the commandos of NSG for safeguarding the rest of us.

What's your take on what happened? Who's to blame? Lack of intelligence, the slumbering security, corrupt politicians... How can we stop the terrorism? Please leave comments!

Fropper's Birthday it is!

Wear the birthday hats, blow the seetis, clap your hands, have a slice of cake… our birthday it is!! Yes, dear ol’ friends, Fropper Zones is two years old. And it is sooooooo nice to see millions of friends here join in the celebration.

In these two years, Fropper has been like any growing toddler. We’ve had teething problems, we’ve taken baby steps and even trotted towards making Fropper better. We’ve had new features like new clothes and toys. It has been fun and we have a lot more to offer, as we grow older.

Oh and like any birthday boy and girl, we sure like to be wished too! So, where are the wishes? Hmmm? As for our gift, be with Fropper, give us your constant support and feedback. The party goes on and on. Enjoy!

Ganpati Bappa Morya! Our beloved Lord Ganesha is here again with blessings to shower on us. Let us offer him something more than just prayers and modaks… a dignified welcome and farewell.

Last year Fropper.com started a movement with www.ecoganpati.com to save Nature from all the pollution that Ganeshotsav causes. A petition to ban Plaster of Paris idols was signed and given to the Mayor of Mumbai Dr. Ms Shubha Raul. This year we are not stopping at just the petition. Let’s wish each other a Happy Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day! Fropper Team wishes all you Fropperites another great year of being free. Along with freedom do not forget the duties of being an Indian! Be a good citizen and do the right thing. Say no to corruption. Say no to oppression. Say no to communalism! Fight injustice. Live in Peace. Make India a better place to live in!
