It’s me you wish to touch
But you’re not showing me much
I desire a man that’s smart
And one who knows how to please me

Someone that I can trust
Someone that I can love
Someone that is fair
And one on one sweetheart

Because I know how to treat a good man baby
I know how to get within in his heart and make him feel good
Nothing will be kept in the dark

NO FRIEND OF MINE

You called me on the phone
And stated how the male should always be in control
I’m thinking to myself is this really why you called
Thinking that way is why you are not here
I want you to think about what it will take in order for you to be near
Or you’ll never have the chance to become my man
And from here on out, I’ll accept no more of your calls

I don’t jump to anyone snapping their fingers
If you can’t respect that leave me alone
No man on earth will have such power over me
I can compromise but definitely will not be controlled

You state that it was a joke
But nothing is funny when your intention is to cause pain
I know that all East Indian men aren’t like that
There are many I converse with at work who doesn’t act this way
You say mean things and that an East Indian male would never want someone like me
When you can only speak for yourself not others
And as a Woman
Finding any man has never been a difficult task
You’re just upset because I don’t want you to be

Remember you said you had many women out there
Why you’re sharing this with me as if I really care
In fact I don’t recall asking you for anything
Another reason I don’t want you near
It’s not surprising,
I felt it earlier than now and even then when you first said you were my friend
Is this how you treat women in your country no wonder you’re alone
So stop claiming to be this gift to women
When in reality all you wish to do is use them and cause them pain

But I have no desire for any man for materials or guidance

YOUR CHOCOLATE HABIBI

I interact with many women and men throughout the day
But let’s not talk about work, let’s talk about you
As a little girl I would have certain dreams
But I’m a full grown woman now honey and they’re not dreams anymore
Because most are becoming true
Many American guys will try to play tricks on me
But oh no love not you
You actually plan things out before deciding to have kids
And that alone is not why I feel in love with you

Come go away with me
I know that I can fulfill your every desire
Paradise you will be I guarantee
Bathing each other on the beach, afterwards marshmallows by the fire
Will you become my companion and fall in love
I want to hear you say you also feel it in your heart
I can’t speak for the others
Who fail to understand the true meaning of love

Everyday is a beautiful day
I knew I’ll be lying in bed every morning next to you

I'VE GIVEN 12 1/2 YEARs of MY LIFE

Should I
Let him go
At that very moment I didn’t know what else there was for me to do
I’ve given 12 ½ years to someone I truly loved
How I made it dealing with all his problems
I wouldn’t wish any of those headaches on any of you

Fell in love when he first met me
I recall telling him that he would someday be my husband on our first date while in his car
He smiled and kissed me
I still recall how I felt upon his touch
My heart would skip a beat for how I felt inside
Even though his feelings he would slightly hide

I said to him that I want to grow old with you
Because I couldn’t live without you
Wanted him to be in my life so bad
The day I had to resist you
Never imagine giving up on a man who would one day become my husband
But a woman can only take so much when the second party is out of control

Yes I loved
Oh I loved that guy
I would rush home from work and class just to have his meal on the stove
He was my best friend
When others would say why
Why would I give up on someone who remained for so long in my life

He needed help
Because I supported him you know
I was the one who worked and studied while he would sit and play video games at home
Yes he once loved me
But this time I was wasting extremely bad
It was when I returned home from ICU that is when I basically discovered

What else was there for me to do
Even then I didn’t want to do without my Beau
Again I wanted him to be in my life so so bad
Now I’m scared
Because the man I loved for 12 ½ years is no longer by my side
But I don’t hate or hold any emotional baggage
I was able to move on and let it all go

If it wasn’t for my belief in god
Another man I wouldn’t be able to trust
Now I’m honestly ready to meet someone new
For my heart no longer cries

Now it’s time for someone new
I know soon I will find you
I’ve learned quite a bit from my past
I want to hold and kiss someone new
I desire to be his wife and him my husband
That’s why I’m here to find me an East Indian Gentleman

I admire you because you understand
You didn't like explode when I said
that I was an African American
You loved and accepted me just the way I am
Now you're saying that I'm extremely beautiful
I'm saying
You're a handsome East Indian

But I did wonder why you wanted me
Yes I was afraid,
but not afraid of falling in love with someone that is true
Saying to myself, girl don't be a fool
Convert to Hinduism or Islam and then say Yes
Yes I'll marry you

You started picking me up from my evening classes
At once I'm hearing you yell out my name
I have no deceitful disguises
Because it keeps away all the pain when you're not ashamed
I said if you're truly good to me,
I'll be extremely better to you
It has nothing to do with you being cool

You were able to look at me without your eyes
I've never had that feeling when dating an American guy
Yes I will marry you
I see something in you that I want with me
Admire your parents for guiding your education perfectly

Can you picture the two of us living in a lovely suburban home
With the love of Hindu or Islam 1st in our lives we're never alone

Look in my eyes again

Somoene you hate or a beautiful chocolate lady

I have so much love that I need to show
