Hey guys n gals,
I do understand that maternal n paternal yearning to be a grandma/grandpa soon but to put their son/daughter's future at very high risk is completely out of vogue in today's scenario unlike in yesteryears.
What I cannot understand is this desire to either push their beautiful daughter out of their home at the earliest, "jaldi shaadi karke jao" just to finish off their responsibilites or to force their lovingly brought up son to bring in their first grandchild !!
"My son/daughter's long lasting happiness, health, joy, peace n prosperity is very important to me" attitude is missing in so many families in India. I see around me so many marriages on the rocks even at the tender age of just four months of marriage to the ripe old age of 30 years of marriage.
Its amazing to see high positioned men n women just collapse, wither n loose all their joy under unhappy n unwanted marriages, which just breaks my heart. If only the people involved are given more freedom, more space, more authority for decision making, more trust, more importance to feelings n desires, more chance to mature, then this precarious situation would really taper off.
This is a situation which calls for untold n unimaginable compromise n understanding!!
A Survivor!
