When someone like Bal Thackeray, whose party is rather notorious for goondaism, asks someone else to stop violence, you can't help but snicker. And then the second thought that comes to your mind is that he probably wants a monopoly in that aspect as well.

"The open display of swords, assaults on innocent men and women, forced closure of shops and vandalising of railway property have angered Thackeray and his son Uddhav."

De ja vu! Isn't that how things are in Mumbai when the Sainiks are rioting too?

The problem is that the property is not damaged by Marathis but Sikhs. Only the Sena cadre has any right to damage Maharashtrian property because it's their baap ka property!

Well, at least Vijay Mallya thinks Charu Sharma and captain Dravid are both responsible why Bangalore Royal Challengers are at the fag end as far as points in IPL are concerned. 

The blame game continues here as well. Charu Sharma has been sacked as the CEO and for all the poor performances bad facilities during practice were blamed. Mallya is blaming Dravid and Sharma for ignoring his choice of players. 

Anyway, now Brijesh Patel has been brought in as the CEO because he is the secretary of the KSCA (Karnataka State Cricket Association). So obviously he's the best person to provide facilities the team needs at its base in Bangalore. Pehle kyun nahin socha? Maybe because anyway the IPL is more of a glam show than cricket so guess since Charu Sharma is a name more well known and a face more seen, he was the first choice!

Bangalore Challengers' semifinal hopes have been quashed, hope they will win some matches and save their face!

The moral police is at it again! According to their dictum, Bolly stars cannot expose butt, thighs or breasts when they dance for New Year's eve.

But if someone's idea of partying is seeing skimpily clad women dancing, then what's wrong? They are paying for it and it's not the stars are being victimised and made to dance in skimpy clothes forcefully.

I mean, it's only adults who go to these parties, so chance of corrupting innocent minds here...

A better thing to do would be to not allow such shows being aired on any channel. or just get child lock in action. This is party pooping, man! Had Mallika's dance not been aired last year all this prob would not have happened. News channels need to have more discernment because news is normally watched by grown ups even when kids are around!

Honestly, I'm not into Formula 1 or car racing as such. I don't understand the fine nuances of racing but well when a feather is added to India's cap in terms of sports, it is exciting! Ok, let me rephrase that... when a feather is added to India's cap in terms of sports other than cricket, it is exciting!

I had anyway been thinking about how there is always this much brouhaha when it comes to Cricket and there may be other equally deserving sportsmen who go unnoticed. Then I read about Narain Karthikeyan's feat. Kudos to the young chap! I'm sure it must have been a jolt of sorts for him to lose the status of Williams' test driver in F1 but just a week after that he wins the A1 GP race.

And I like this dude's attitude. He says that he would love to drive for F1 but he is not dying to that at the same time. He goes on to add that last year they gave him very little testing and then the Williams' thing happened. To quote him, "there is no point in doing a job like that. If they don't want to utilise my services, I'm fine with it. I'd rather focus on A1 GP and bring in results."

I think we really need to celebrate every victory that comes India's way. Let's give credit where it's due. And seruiously, how many rallyists do we really have? As for cricketers, there are a dime a dozen!

I always thought Khusboo was considered a goddess herself down south! It's a strange (maybe sadistic even) relief that people know their Gods from human beings.

But then again, I kinda feel sad for Khushboo. I mean, you can't keep track of the 1 lakh protocols that people have framed in the name of religion. Ok, I can still understand objection to the wearing slippers in front of idols, but sitting cross legged? I mean, why not? How is that disrespectful?

Looks like people just have an agenda against celebrities and pan them unnecessarily for everythig they do. Guess it was just a blunder on her part, but to file a case against that seriously is a bit much and shows how jobless these people are. And it makes three cases against her!

Oh, by the way, what do they say about God being omnipresent? So, I guess we should never be wearing footwear and sit crosslegged because even if there isn't an idol of Gods, Gods are present themselves in full glory!
