Supreme Court on 3rd Jan, issued warning to Center to delete word "Sind" from National Anthem and replace with Kashmir, due to the reason Sindh state it is now under Pakistan.

National Anthem was placed in records on Jan 24, 1950, even much after partition, knowing this also Mr Sanjeev Bhatnagar, who bought the issue in the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) before court.

He said, If Pakistan ever raised the matter at any international fora, it could cause an “embrassing” situation to India.

However, a note of the Union Home Ministry in response to Mr Bhatnagar’s letter to the government said, “The word and expression ‘Sindh’ in the National Anthem refers not merely to the province of Sindh but also to the Sindhi culture, which is an inAlienable part of the rich and diverse culture of India.”

The government said various archaeological sites found in the entire western and northern India established the “relevance of the word Sindh” to Indian culture.

what you guys have to say...about this... is it much fair change National Anthem, when most of you guys know Jana, Gana, Mana... by heart...how it is be to replace that word now....

Hi,
This is a unnecessary and totally uncalled for controversy initiated by Mr. Bhatnagar.
Pakistan, who keeps on searching the points to embarrass india, does not find any validity in this point since 50 years. Then why should Mr. Bhatnagar about Pakistan's sentiments. If at all Pakistan raises the issue, there is no embarrassing situation at all. The world knows the history of Sindh, partition etc. Since 50 years of partition, thousands of families are havind relations entangled with division & border. Does Mr. Bhatnagar plans to bring about PIL to sort out these relations one by one?
The region is not a piece of land. It is the emotion which thousands of Sindhis brought in their hearts after partitin. The word Sindh represents that emotion. After 56 years also, ppl call the sindhis by popular name Sindhi. Why?. If Sindh is left in Pakistan, we should stop calling them sindhi. In other words, if some ons ask, if u r Sindhi, why u r not in sindh? What answer we have to this question.
When this question goes to SC, it is going by Law. SC is right in it's action. The problem is why it should be raised at all?

Dear froppers,

It is really sad to hear the PIL filed in SC for deletion of the
word SINDH from our great national anthem.is it not fair to leave
this matter since there are many sindhi famileis opted for great
india after partisan and are loyal to our country,as well as the
SINDH RIVER still flow its water to our country without any hinderance ,neither pakistan raised this issue nor we ask for
amendments.
let us not hurt the sentiments of brothern sindh like shri L.K.Advaniji and other loyal indians. if we do this it is a great
insult ot our RABINDRANATH TAGORE.

REGARDS

Hi Froppers,
On dt.23.03, SC has given a judgment that, there will not be deletion of the word "Sindh" from National Anthem.
It is very heartening that, SC has given legal and logical end to this embarrassing and unnecessary controversy.
Now, every proud Indian can freely chant National Anthem, without any doubt.
Bye,
Prakash

Lets hope that the ppl in power stick to the original national anthem w/o making a further issue on this. The best protest for this would be to sing the National Anthem in its original form.

It started with changing the names of Indian cities which basically exists only in official records. Bombay, Calcutta, Madras are still the key words for most of the Indians.

Jai Hind [with Sindh Wink]

------------------------------------------------------------------------
New Delhi: Government is opposed to any deletion, addition in the national anthem or its substitution by another composition and is, therefore, contesting the writ petition in the Supreme Court, Lok Sabha was informed today.

Replying to supplementaries during Question Hour, Home Minister Shivraj Patil said there was no move to delete the word Sindh from the national anthem and it is going to be retained.

"We don’t want to mutilate the national anthem and our stand will be the same in the court. There is no difference," he said.

To another question on why North-Eastern region has not been included in the national anthem, Patil said "the national anthem reflects our culture whether it is north, south, east and west and it is not geographic but basically cultural aspect of the country."

The Home Minister said Government has been receiving, from time to time, letters from various persons suggesting deletion, addition of words in the national anthem or even its complete substitution by some other composition.

The government is also aware of views articulated in the print and electronic media against any change in the national anthem, he said.

A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court by one Sanjeev Bhatnagar seeking an appropriate order or writ for deletion of the word "Sindh" from the national anthem or its substitution by some other proper and approved word like "Kashmir", the Minister said
*End*

Friends, thanks for your nice views on Natioanl Anthem with Sindh

Big Laugh Kam

Dear Friends,
Pleass take note of further development taken place on this issue. Supreme Court rejected the appeal of Mr. Bhatnagar on petition ruling calling it as 'publicity seeking petition'.
SC also fined Rs.10000 on Mr.SB for wasting court's time. SC also observed that, any tampering of the national anthem will be an insult to poet Ravindranath Tagore.
Isn't it the court verdict, everybody of us desired?
Jai Hind.

In my view the court's decision os absolutely correct. The National Anthem is the hard work of poet Rabindranath Tagore and for me, no one has a right to alter it not even the govt.

Its just another popularity tactics. Pakistan has issues like Kashmir to bother with India. Its people like bhatnagar, who raise such issues to gain popularity.

Sindh was is and shall be a part of Hindusthaan. The issue is not about Sindh .. but it is really about "India". The word India is the root of all evils. what does india mean?  the word Hindusthaan has been deliberately omitted by Nehru and Co. they don't want us to remember our roots and identity. like every person, every nation has an identity. the word hindusthaan immediately gives everyone our identity. but the mulla-marxist-missionary trico wants us to forget who we are. so they ghusaoed India & removed Hindusthaan. Thank god they let Bharat be in the name.."India that is Bharat". Sindh is ours & it is a solemn oath and determination to unite this country back - get our sindh back. This is our solemn pious-godly duty. Where is the independence that our forefathers fought for? where is that hindusthaan? there was no "india"  for them. Where has this unknown "India" sprung up from? There is no country called "India". How can we call ur mother- motherland by a name others call her? Can you stand people calling your mother:  "waah kyaa 'Chidiya' hai"? This is hindusthaan, not India, no Chidiya.  Sindh we shall take by hook or by crook. We sing-declare it day in & out. Even the paki sindhis say: "Jiye Sindh, Pakistan Murdabad. We are sindhis first, mulims next & pakistanis last. We want independence". This is reality. See next article.

Sindh is ours.. 8,000 years ago.. the Rakshasas - Hiranyaaksh etc.. were controlling Sindh, Punjab, baluchistan etc... hence the name Lahore and Peshawar today... Lavpur and Purushpur etc...King Yayati, and his sons.. Indu, Puru, Yadu and Kuru rose from the Ganga region - from Prayag- and drove the rakshasas out...We re-caaptured Sindh after a long foreign rule. Second time, the area was captured by Alexander and his kshtraps ruled for decades,,,.. Thence rose Chandragupt Maurya, again from th agnga belt... Patliutra and freed Sindh etc.... we recaptured and brought it back in our culture and rule. Third time... it was the Shaks ...who captured regions upto Ujjain etc... including all sindh punjab and afghanistan etc.... thence again rose Vikramaditya from the Ganga belt... Patliputra.... and freed all of them .. and we have his samvatsar today... So THRICE HAVE WE FREED SINDH ETC... ... AND SHALL WE DO THAT AGAIN.. AND MAKE THEM ALL HINDU ... EVERY VILLAGE SEES SMALL CHIDREN IN LAKHS DO THIS BHARAT MATA POOJAN ON THE 14TH OF AUGUST EVERY YEAR... AKHAND BHARAT SANKALP. We took oath for Shri Ramjanmabhoomi... and we have practically freed it. So shall be of sindh. These small children shall do it. Encourage them. PUNJAB SINDH GUJARAT MARATHA... JAY HE JAY HE JAY HE ...We have done it thrice in the past and 60 years in the history of 10,000 years is nothing... we shall take sindh back... it is a small job... koi badi baat nahin. Do zhaapad maarke bhi le lenge

As in my last article... thrice has the freedom struggle rosen from ganga belt... embodying the all-bharat Atma... the raashtrapurush.. Bharat-aatma.. of all public and god's wish. So has the fourth too has started from the Ganga belt... Ayodhya... A for Ayodhya... our history starts from Ayodhya.. not Delhi. We shall retake Sindh.. it is written on the wall... the Main word is HINDOO. Get prepared... to win.... forget the illusions... we are the oldest and the most time tested nation o this earth.. "with Hindutva shall live-flourish or perish this chirantan raashtra and the humanity on this earth... "... etc... quote the heart-feelings... of Sri Arvind Ghosh... the revolutionary leader and the Saint...

"JAI HEY BHARAT BHAGYA VIDHATA " NEXT PIL or FATWA on National Anthem??? TOI reports 2day that a leading Islamic seminary has issued a decree declaring the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) slogan "JAI BHIM" as un-iSLAMIC and violative of Shariya. In the FATWA the Dar-ul-Uloom said the slogan INVOKING the Dalit Leader Bhim Rao Ambedkar was against the Islamic law as the religion does not permit such a PRAYER for anyone except ALLAH. So wht about "Jai-Hind" as well? The word JAI appears TEN TIMES in the national anthem. Interesting question arises 2 ENGLISH SPEAKING ppl. "JAH" is the Rastafarian name of God and Pak Premier Gilani TOOK HIS OATH OF OFFICE FIRST IN THE NAME OF GOD and THEN related it to ALLAH as a matter of record. MORE interesting - JAI ALLAI (Allai RHYMES wid Islamic ELAHI" is a GAME played in the Basque region of France with curved wicker baskets.

JAI is NOT a PRAYER. It 's EXACT MEANING is VICTORY or "PRAISE BE". Islam DOES NOT OBJECT to anyone saying PRAISE BE UNTO ALLAH" or "ALLAH BE PRAISED". Jai is not IBADAT in Arabic or Urdu. IBADAT is PERMITTED In Islam ". The local term ibadat or ibadah, is from Arabic ‘ibada. It means, according to Pak Sholeh, “to enslave oneself to God (ngaula ning Gusti Allah).” So Hindu POOJA = IBADAT=WORSHIP. Mayb Secularism requires an AUTHORITATIVE Hindi-Urdu-English DICTIONARY to eliminate INTER-LINGO SEMANTIC HUMBUG.
