Hi all,

I am writing GRE this year and planning for admission during fall 2007 for Masters in Computer Engineering in USA. Anyone on the same track?

hi Jay,

I was looking for a few univs in Texas. What do u think of univs in california? I am looking to study in a moderate univ like state univs. I am preparing for GRE and have score of 260/300 for TOEFL. Planning to go to USA by fall 2007. What do u think on scholarships?

well i hve completed my bechlors degree in computer sytem engineering and i want 2 do masters from uk....so wt should i do for this...any1can help me out???

Hi Abhilash

I have written detail to Tanmay about toefl; toefl is now toefl ibt which is out of 120 and not 300; there is change. Scholarship score is about 100 + in toefl ibt and 1400+ for GRE.

You need to give IELTS and check the band requirement of the institution; normally, you need to score not less than 6.5 band.

Hi all,

im planning to apply to US MS computer science , fall 2007. I jus gave my GRE and am preparing for Toefl. Should i give Toefl ibt or CBT? is there any advantage of giving ibt over cbt? both are available here in England.

So abilash, have u given your gre? i havent decided the university i should apply to. Is there any good web site to go through list of US uni and the kind of financial aid they provide?

Studying in UK can be very costly and there is not much aid assistance like the way you can get in US. Besides, after you graduate, there is no guarantee that you will get a job. One of my colleague completed his Msc in Leeds university , he was lucky to get a job as he had work experience in India, but all his friends are working part time in stores n shopping malls. I am not saying this discourage anyone from applying to uk , but jus sharing what I know.

Toefl cbt is no more valid; now it is toefl ibt which is quite tougher than cbt. I have already written about this earlier;. in case u require any further information please let me know.

As regards universities in usa, is shall get back to you as well others who have aksed for the information shortly.

Hi,

i just took GRE . Score is not good .Quant 770 and verbal 440...........

verbal messed up the whole thing . could anyone tell me if taking GRE second time affects the admission decision for M.S. in Computer science field.Because of such a low score in verbal , I am not able to focus as to what should I do.

Any suggestion???

i m a third yr computer engg student studying in navi mumbai. i wish to go abroad for further studies. i m appearing for GRE on 23rd july 07. i m looking for a field other than MS in computer engg, computer science and IT. how good is managmt info sys {mis} and computer systems administrator? i dont mind exploring places other than US. is edu in NZ appreciated worldwide? is it cheaper than in US & UK?

plz help me.. first name and last name problem

first name and last name problem

my name is : Magesh Khanna
my father name : vadivelu

I need some clarification regarding my first name and last name.......

More over I have registered for GRE and i have given my first name as magesh....and last name khanna....and didnt give my father's name anywhere.....will it make any problem while taking my GRE and in the near future...?

I will be more kind full if you help me with this.....
