It’s not easy for any sibling to emerge from the shadows of famous parents in the celluloid world. But Farhan Akhtar managed it successfully. He is known as himself and not as the son of famous lyricist Javed Akhtar.

The Adonis with jet black curly hair captured the hearts of girls as well as boys. Making waves with “Dil Chahta Hai,” he was bestowed the prestigious National Award for “Best Hindi Feature Film” for from the President of India, Dr. Abdul Kalam.

Farhan sports adventurous hairdos and each one suits his magnetic personality.

Farhan, who just turned 34 had carved a name for himself as producer director, writer, screenplay writer, tv host among others.

But, the surprise element hit us in 2008. The jaws of movie makers and cinegoers dropped down when Farhan hit the silver screen in “Rock On” as actor and singer. There’s an authenticity and honesty in Farhan Akhtar’s personality that strikes one right away!
