1. Why should I add a photograph to my profile?

Our statistics show that adding a photo to your profile increases the number of times your profile is viewed by 7 times. You are likely to receive 10 times as many responses if you attach a photo.

To attach a photograph, follow the steps outlined below:
  1. Login to Fropper Relationships


  2. Go to My Fropper


  3. Click on Add/Manage Photo(s) under 'My Profile' on the left of your screen and follow the instructions there.

2. I don't have a digital photo of myself. I have a normal non-digital photograph. Can I add it to my profile on Fropper Relationships? How?

Yes. Fropper Relationships provides a FREE Scanning and Image Digitizing Service to its members. This service will help you attach your photo to your profile. Just send us your photograph at the address given below. After receiving your photo we will scan, enhance, optimize, upload your photograph and attach it to your profile.

Important Note
Please put your photograph in an envelope (preferably non-crushable) with your Fropper Relationships username, your name, e-mail and signature written behind the photograph.

Fropper.com is not responsible or liable for any photographs that get damaged or lost in transit. Further, since your photo will not be returned, we recommend that you make a copy of the photo you are sending us.

After receiving your photograph, we require about 24 hours to upload it. We request you to be patient. You will be notified via e-mail once we attach your photograph to your profile.

3. Are there any special tips & tricks to make my digital photo look good?

There are 3 steps involved in making your photograph look good on the Internet.
  1. Selection: Select a photograph that is bright and colorful. Photographs in general tend to become darker when seen on the computer which is why nighttime photographs are not displayed very well. Select a photograph that is preferably taken outdoors, in the natural light. Also, if possible, select a close-up or a full view snap. Try not to choose a group photograph where you are only a small part of the whole photo. Lastly, choose the photo that brings out your features.


  2. Enhancement: Once you have selected and scanned your photograph, you can further enhance it using image enhancing softwares like Adobe Photoshop or Corel Photopaint. Working with even simple functions like brightness, contrast, hue and saturation can make a big difference to your photo.


  3. Optimization: Finally, make sure that you save your enhanced photograph as a .jpg or .jpeg file. These file formats are web-friendly and reduce the file size considerably. Having a small file size is important so that it loads quickly on the Internet. If you have a very large photograph it may take very long to download and visitors may get tired of waiting.

4. I uploaded my photo but it is still not visible in my profile. Why?

Fropper.com reviews all photographs uploaded by members. This process usually takes about 24 hours. So while your photo is under review, it may not show in your profile.

Further, while we allow members the ability to upload their photographs, we reserve the right to remove/delete any photograph that violates socially accepted norms of decency and/or contains any form of nudity. This may even include beach photographs of our members.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you appreciate our efforts for protecting our members. It is also possible that there was some technical error/problem at the time of uploading the photograph. In which case we request that you add your photo again.

5. How do I hide my photograph on Fropper Relationships?

You can hide your photograph through the photo privacy setting on the Add/Manage Photo(s) page. Here, you have the choice to display your photographs only to members you have added in your favorites list. With this status, the photographs will be hidden from other members.

6. Why do I see a 'Request photo access' message instead of the members photograph?

The 'Request photo access' message will be displayed if the member has set his Photo Privacy Status as 'Photographs visible to favorites'. If you wish to view this members photograph, you will need to click on the 'Request photo access' link to place a request.

Your request will be sent to the member's Photo request folder. If the member accepts your request, you will be intimated through a message in your Fropper Relationships mailbox and you will be able to view his photograph.

7. How do I change my photo on Fropper Relationships?

To change your photo on Fropper Relationships, you need to have a digital photo (a scanned photo of yourself on the computer/digital camera). If you do not have a digital photo, please read about Fropper.com's Photo Service.

If you have a digital photo, follow the steps outlined below:
  1. Login to Fropper Relationships


  2. Go to My Fropper


  3. Click on Add/Manage Photo(s) under 'My Profile' on the left of your screen and follow the instructions there

8. How do I delete my photo from my profile?

To delete your photo, please click on the link below. You can also go to the Photo page and remove your photo from there.

9. Can I add more than one photograph to my profile?

Yes, you can add upto 4 photographs to your profile. You can also change your existing photograph and attach a new photograph to your profile.

10. How do I create the thumbnail of my photograph?

You can create a thumbnail of your photograph in four simple steps:

Step 1: Locate the red-bordered tile in the center of your uploaded photograph.




Step 2: Drag the tile to the area you want to display in the thumbnail.




Step 3: Re-size the tile by dragging the tile corners.




Step 4: Check the thumbnail preview on top. Click on the 'Make thumbnail' button to create the thumbnail.

11. Why do I get a Flash Plug-in error when I try to create a thumbnail?

Our photo thumbnail / re-size tool uses Macromedia Flash which your browser does not have and/or support. Click here to get the latest Flash plug-in and then try adding your photo.
