 Living on the sledge!

The ever popular sledging in cricket is a practice to say or do something nasty to psyche the rival player(s) out so that they make mistakes.

Anyway, a lot has already been said about Bhajji, monkey, maa ki, Symonds etc. Bhajji seems to be quite a cheeky dude. Recently Matthew Hayden had said something about meeting Ishatn Sharma in a boxing ring to teach him a lesson and also called Bhajji an obnoxious little weed in an interview to a radio station. So, in the match yesterday when Bhajji took Hayden's wicket, he and Yuvraj Singh did a mock boxing fight.

My sympathies to the cricketers if they get harrowed by what's being said about them, but I think it adds a lot of spice to the matches. Some of the comebacks to sledging are very witty and delightful. I think if something said or done is not racial or too personal, it shouldn't be taken so seriously. Like, why is Bhajji taking it so personally and getting hurt at being called a mad boy?

Also looks like sledging works in Indian team's favour sometimes. They get provoked and instead of making mistakes they play well. Like, who can forget the Aamir Sohail and Venkatesh Prasad incident during the World Cup match when Sohail rather arrogantly pointed his bat to the direction where he had hit a six to Prasad's delivery. The next delivery, he is bowled and Prasad points to the pavilion.
Even right now the team seems to be at it, giving it back for good measure.

And all the mudslinging that's happening right now is so silly, and the officials get involved in the controversy. It's like kids fighting while playing galli cricket and then going and complaining to their parents. And parents get into an even bigger fight.

Leave what happens on the pitch should stay just there!

Bhajji's using " Teri Ma Ki " is justified coz he's employed with Punjab Police and they are famous for using such words !

As far as his scratching his armpits is concerned (lol it made Aussies think he's emulating their ancestors!), the truth is he forgot to carry his stock of Ring Guard !!!!!
