ASYLUM said: Thanks Shweta! Loved this, truly. That bit about Sunita not understanding women's lib made my heart bleed. I've so much to say but i'm left dumbstruck! I get really annoyed when women's lib is perceived by many as male-bashing, late nights, wearing the skimpiest clothes, being loud and dominating and pata nahi aur kya kya samajha jat hai. Liberation is about knowing your choices. The confusion in thought today would be something like.. Instead of "I should want what they/he/she has in life" It ought to be "I'll take what I know I need in life" With emphasis on the 'know'. Self recognition/knowledg Happy Women's day to you, your Mum and to Sunita! March 09, '08 |
