It pays to disobey your parents sometimes!

Ok, I am not going hunting for such women's liberation stories, they are just coming by on their own!!

Bravery has no age limit. Here is a girl who is only 12 years old AND a rural belle but still stood up for her rights against her parents. I think rebelling against parents is one of the toughest things to do for minors. I mean, rebellion of this serious manner and not the "I'll play videogames and not study because I so wish" kind. You have to live with your parents and the tough nuts to crack can really make life hell if you don't listen to them. If all else fails, they resort to emotional blackmail... especially when it comes to marriage!

And at 12, I could never have thought of summoning to child rights organisation to intervene. Bright and brave girl this one!

Anyway, equally commendable is the girl's father actually, who not only saw sense finally and did not force to marry the kid off but also let her study further!

Courage is measured by the grith of your heart not your age.
