 Why Like This..???

To all the sports-lovers, games-lovers, fun-lovers, Partiots, Nationalists, and above all cricket lovers, please take a few moments to read this article of TOI... PLEASE....

Its about The Final match between India and Britain..
Carvalho is trying to bring out some points here.

With your hand on hearts, please tell me, if this were cricket,
Would the media not gone overboard, 24X7 rolling videos on and on, about the fouls and non-fouls?
Would the media not broadcast all these as hot-sensational-scoop-news...???
Will there not be a debate in assemblies and parliaments on this subject..???

from the other side, what SRK said yesterday sums it up all.
'
In India, cricket is a good business. So, lets do business, generate money for other sports..."
Which other sports?
Don't he or the other barons have enough money even now, to promote 'other sports'..???

Its so disheartening for the couch to do all the investigative works while, if this were cricket, the entire nation would put foot down and howl...

I feel that we are giving more importance to cricket while others are ignored. It is time to give our children some good training in hockey and football also. Otherwise in the coming years, if we will not have any child knowing no other games than cricket

I use to joke that Cricket is the only sports in India. I have always been advocating for atrtention on other sports. Our tennis stars are performing well. Sania mirza, paes, Bhupathi. In atheletics, anju George is doing India proud in long jump. Vishwanathan anand is leading the pack in Chess. Thank Giod, VA was honoured by giveing him a vicotry procesion.

I am sorry for the hockey team. The players shoudl regroup and get up. That is the need of the hour.

all indian are upset and 'ashamed' by the failure. this disaster struck for the Ist time in 80 years. Actually it was a 'joint collapse of system' that resulted the plight of Indian Hockey.
But it is a 'wake up call' for preparation for ' Olympic Games'.

Hi Priyam,
Thanks for your valuable comments. I really appreciate it so much.
We are even afraid of talking about any other games as we think we might be branded as 'eccentric' by others who are Blind "Bhakts" of Cricket...

Hey there KB Sir! I wonder where are the sport enthusiasts gone???? No comment as yet!!!! Anyway, to put my views on this- u've made a very valid point yet again...Unfortunately India is becoming a commercial jungle where everything is equated with revenue and cash! It's sad, especially bcoz this is no way any sport or art should be treated...Perhaps a few decades down the line, India might become the superpower (not sure though..but its a different issue) but we'll be absolutely bankrupt in the sense of sports and art forms which are the pillars of a civilized society...but then we don't care as long as cash registers keep ringing, do we? The 'Sugar Daddy' of BCCI has apparently vowed to shell out few bucks like some loose change for promoting other sports for next Olympics, but then we know how good he is at keeping promises- he's the Agriculture Minister after all!!!!
