You wish you had known this before you got Married

Whether you are married for the first time or having an ongoing relationship, you should take special care of your sexual health, so to speak,  both emotional and physical sexual health

An obstetrician gynecologist offers some advice before marrge

Gynecological  Examinations - If you have never had a gynecological examination before, this is the most appropriate time to start. Good health habits are to be encouraged, especially since now you not only think about yourself but also your spouse to be.

If you never have had a cancer ( pap) smear before, and if you have never had intercourse, you can defer this examination until after the " honeymoon".

Delaying your period -   Another factor to consider is whether you want to menstruate on your wedding day or not- if at all avoidable, or during the honeymoon for that matter.. But if it is not,  sometimes a pill is taken.

Sexuality -   Love is no guarantee that sex will be instantly fulfilling and beautiful on the "first night" of your marriage, especially if one has not had any mental or physical preparation.

Like so many good things in life, it has to be worked for.  So, when the time has finally come to "climb the mountain" , the journey itself will have proved worthwhile..
