 MY CRAZY EIGHTS

Here I am once again writing this TAGBLOG,  I don’t know why she chose this number “EIGHT”, whatever may be the reason, it sounds good (after having bottle of chilled Penotage, everything sounds good).

So here are my Crazy Eights.

Eight things I am passionate about

1.      My WORK, Fortunately there is just one way of doing the things I do, even if someone else does it; it has to be done the same way, so I am never bothered whether it is MY WAY or not.

2.      Books – Books are the best companion (I feel).

3.      Playing Basketball (outdoor) and Playing Midtown Madness on PSP(Play station Portable) with my son. I always beat him in scoring baskets but I have always been beaten by him on his Play Station.

4.      Zorro, My dog, He is the best buddy.

5.      Cooking, My wife and son love my cooking. Wife because, she gets a much needed break and son because he loves it.

6.      Cracking Mensa Questions. It is real fun to attempt those against time.

7.      Helping others without any pre-condition.

8.      Photography.

Eight things I want to do before I “Fade Away” (My clan never dies, we just fade away).

1.      Work with old people and terminally ill patients.

2.      To do skydiving, have done lots of para-jumps but one frontier is still left.

3.      Write a book.

4.      To have a self-owned Mercedes.

5.      Motivate my son to break records in swimming and athletics (which I made in school and some which I could not break ever at senior level).

6.      To be a better human being than what I am today.

7.      To make up for all the time which I could not spend with my family.

8.      To be a teacher at least for some time and motivate young kids to strive to be a better human being.

Eight things I often say

1.      YES…

2.      Good…

3.      It is fine with me …

4.      Beautiful…

5.      Fear is the key…

6.      Shucks…

7.      Climb the nearest gum tree …

8.      Ciao…

7.      The Dirt by Motley Crue.

8.      Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T Kiyosaki.

Eight things that attract me to my best friends or vice-versa

1.      Simplicity.

2.      I don’t question them for what they do.

3.      I am always with them, whether they are right or wrong…

4.      I keep my word…

5.      I try never to waste their time….

6.      I stay at ground…

7.      I never say NO.

8.      I never break the rules… but if they wish they can break the rules.

Nice read Marki! Kudos.
It shows your fauji personality, forthright and honest.
Thats why I love faujis. My dad was one, served in Navy.
Great personality here, Buddies. Full marks. Five stars are not enough for this great man of our times.
You dont fade away chaps, for your valor is recalled for good. You are fondly remembered by the grateful nation.

Mark!! I love your taste in music. Full on! After Ben E King's original, I like John Lennon's cover too. U2, Bruce Springsteens are nice too. And honestly, you sound exactly like my closest friend Bhavani. She is very grounded, doesn't break rules, yet doesn't get all holier than thou about what I do, never says no to what I ask her to do...

Has Geetanjali been published? I'd love to read it.

Climb the nearest gum tree, is that equivalent to 'go fly a kite'?

Loved reading your post, as always!
