Things are crazy sometimes, more so when you get a chance to break away and get to catch up with friends and family. This is just a story of my adventures in Delhi on Friday last.

It was Holi and since Delhi is my sasural we had planned to spend it in Delhi this time. The wifey left a day ago on Thursday since poor me didnt had holidays. Did some bacchanalian revelry on the Thursday night ( details of which are better not disclosed here ;) ) and flew to Delhi on Friday afternoon. I had scheduled Friday to catch up with old friends and meeting the family was on Saturday.

After landing in Delhi ( the flight was as usual few hrs late) caught up with a friend of mine and when she asked me where shall we go, I said I WANT BEER and MORE BEER. Thankfully she took me to one of the best places I have ever been to yet. It is called Veda and it is at CP. Check the pic of the place below -




























Since we were not in mood of eating much , we ended up having couple of beers and me listening to her stories of her new job, as a producer for a lifestyle show on a soon coming TV channel.It was great meeting her after almost an year and hearing her sarcastic quips.

Since I was already in mood to party and my wifey was waiting with her friend, had to rush off from CP to Pitampura. Travelling in metro trains is lot of fun when you are 2 beers down! Had a small meeting with the parents of wifey's friend to convince them that their daughter will be safe with us and they dont have to worry for allowing us a night out!

We went to Ruby Tuesday in Janakpuri and then again my beer session started. Meanwhile, my chaddhi yaar, or more of a brother, who is in Navy was also in Delhi. For Jeeves, he did the greatest thing after being born on that day i.e. He bought a car! So he met us with his cousin at Ruby and we unanimously decided.... we wanna DANCE!!!

So there we were, atround 12 Midnight, calling up our friends and asking for good discs in Mumbai. Now here is the fun part, we came to know that AGNI is the place to go but we didnt knew in which hotel it was! So I called up Chithra, since i knew she will be online at this hour and asked her to get me the address of the place from net. Somehow, she could not find it. Finally, somehow , after asking around we landed up in AGNI. Not as good as I heard at first sight but i really wanted to Dance and have beer. The dance started, 2 ladies and we 3 "gentle"men! The party rocked on and the best part was the DJ playing all the rapchick numbers which gave me full freedom to display my dancing skills. Actually I invented few dance steps that night. Tamma Tamma Loge, Pehli Nazar Mein, 100s of punjabi bhangra songs set up the night. Oh yes, holi songs too! We danced almost non stop for 4 hours and made sure the disc closed down before we left!

Few moments I will cherish -
1> Me and my navy friend leaving the disc for sometime. 2 old friends, meeting after years, having a smoke under the skies , sitting in silence. Was priceless.
2> We 5 of us, dancing on Dharam pajis steps in a group. Wish I had a pic of that!
3> Me having almost 10 beers that night and still reaching my wifey's place and asking my mom-in-law for food and eating 8 idlis! And yes, I was behaving well.

We reached home at 5 AM , ate like anything and slept peacefully! Party over!
