I looking to buy a  mid size car. With so many options, it gets a litle confusing. So I narrowed my choices to a Honda City, Ford Fiesta, Maruti SX4. I  even took a test ride of each of them, compared the price andengine performance. As i was deliberating between these cars, I saw an advertisement for Tata Indigo.  The advertisement showd the prices and a comparision pre and post budget. Honestly, the prices were quite low and for a moment I was just tempted to give it a shot... It took me back to my earlier thoughts..

Last year, on my vacation to Agra, we had rented a Tata Indigo. I remember telling my wife that I found it quite nice and comfortable. She asked me if we should buy this car, and I flatly said NO.  Tata cars are used as taxis, I havent seen many people using it for personal use. 

So, here is a reasonably good product but suffers from poor brand image. There is no aspiration for Tata cars. As i was deliberating between these cars.
