Adding value to life...yours as well as mine

Posted on: Apr 05, '08

 Congratulations Fellow Froppite

First I need to get through some dreary stuff which I came across recently. The fiesta has been going on for quite sometime but I wasn’t invited to be a part of the festivities… probably because I am kind of woosey headed at the best of times and with summer coming… I resemble a soused potato more than anything else. Ahhh nerts….!

It is only today that I came to know that there has been a bit of a furor at dear ol’ Fropper regarding SOMETHING that called itself Kashish or Alisa or something equally puerile.

Wow… I thought to myself. Worms WILL find a way to throw their impotent sickness in your face in the mistaken hope that they are hurting you in some way.

Chris (Dracul) gave an interesting analysis of the deduction process. I enjoyed reading it. You want to read it too..? Well then trudge along to his blog. You want me to provide a link too now…?! Man…!!!

Then came Soni’s blog about online predators. It seems someone has been impersonating her on yahoo chat too.

All this makes me feel I had better retire into the Himalayas… and to pull it up after me. But I didn’t. Yeah yeah…. Groan all you like… Did you think I was batting out these priceless pearls of wisdom from the base camp then? Ha. Tickle me somebody.

My besetting sin- in case you didn’t know- is that I cannot tolerate an inherently depressing situation. For I don’t believe anything in the world has an intrinsically negative connotation. To tell you the truth the concept freaks me out. I mean, what's there to live for then?

It is merely our interpretation that makes a situation or event negative. If only we would shift our vantage point a mite and look at the other side of the mountain. On this side it is not a craggy, dangerous, inhospitable cliff. There are lush green rolling meadows full of sweet-smelling flowers here. The kind of vista to gladden your heart.

There are bad people here on Fropper… which is only a mini world. True. They hurt us. They are cold, calculating and mean. They don’t give a damn about the broken spirits they leave in their wake. That is really bad. For it makes you realize that you poured out your confidences, your hopes and your pain to something which wasn’t even human. They make us lose our trust in people. That is something which I cannot forgive. For if you take away my capacity to trust… you take away also my capacity to love. For TRUST is the antecedent to LOVE.

The worst of all is the self-loathing you go through as a result of having allowed a person like that to get close to you. You blame yourself. You think there is something wrong with you because you didn’t manage to protect yourself from such a person. And that is not fair.

You could not protect yourself because you are so clean you cannot conceive of their filth. You cannot concede that the world can be this dirty. Do you take that to be a sin? I know only that I am thankful for it. I would rather have clean minds around me… even ones that get duped and hurt…. than worldly-wise ones. These cynical ones are the people to whom this kind of thing doesn’t matter. They are blasé and unconcerned… in their hearts they snigger at you for being dumb.

Then there are the brave ones. I am writing this only to remind myself of them. They are the kind of people who make me feel ten feet tall. They show me a beautiful world. A world made in the image of their own spirit.

Congrats Chithra….!!!

After her interaction with the Beautiful People, did you think our very own Chithra has gone into hibernation? Not on you life… She has been blogging like the billy-o and winning accolades for her work left right and center…. Remember the blog she wrote on Government Employees… The one called Billing Filling and Grueling…!!! ? Well guess what….!!!

Her blog made it to the Bangalore Mirror….!!!!

It was published in two parts… one on Wed, 2nd April 2008 and the second one on Fri, 4th April 2008. I hunted the net high and low so that I could give you boyz and galz a link to the epaper… but all in vain. If any of you assiduous people do find it… kindly paste the link in the comments.

These are the kind of people I would rather fix my eyes on. For they inspire me. They fill me with a desire to move mountains too. They enrich my life.

Thanks Sistah. You make me proud. My love, my gratitude to you.
Kashish…? Kashish who…? Bah…!!! And I won’t even talk of Rab4you….!!! UGH…****!!!!!!!

*snigger snigger*

Please feel free to share this post with all your Fraands….!

---------------------------------------
Note to Fropper Team:

Another feather in your cap…! I do think some form of appreciation from the Team would be welcomed by the blogging community you have under your umbrella. Make us all feel good… and inspire us to put our bestest feet forward. I told Rohit once that an effort needs to be made to attract- and keep- the GOOD bloggers. Kind of like promote the good to weed out the bad. What say…?

Both of you have the "thing", what makes a terrific blogger. Just cash on the good here, dimwits will remain everywhere.

Then finished reading this beautiful stuff.

You girls write too good. Too eloquent in conveying your thoughts across. Too gifted.

I would rather rest here for a while, ruminating my feed (:))

I read this blog before in ez block pick. Now I searched this out to post this comment. when it comes to plagiarism I will be the most affected as I regualrly write for the print media. What I do is keeping the material for print and blogs separately. I took on jab 4 U for that act as Nova is my frnd and I oppose all such actrs irrespective of whether one is my frnd or not.Regarding a get together for bloggers iam all for it as I myself was proposing to write to Fropper on that.

Tearose,

Thanks for coming by...

Raj,

Thanks a lot for the kudos. Feels real good coming from you... each time. You remember how irritated you got with once...? Me..? Oh no..!! Not me... I wasnt annoyed at all... How could I be.. being a woman of saintly forebearance as I am... Lol....

Shomy,

You exaggerate as always.... But I like it that you do... lol... Thanks pal...

CJ,

Yes... thank GOD for friends like you... Though you arent really a friend are you..?

To tell you the truth Cj, I used to be pretty uptight myself... before I met you and all your gang. Loved them all... and you specially. It was only after that that I called up a few more people and met them all... and in each instance I was happy that I did. Guess the unknown still has the power to scare...

Cheers,

Dagny

hi dagny,

tks for all the good work; it's really sad to see that such unpleasant things are happening on fropper; i guess the impersonators will eventually be exposed; let's be happy about and proud of all our friends who are worth their weight in more than gold;

tks all of you for your wishes; tks for sharing my success and happiness; your friendship and the 'blogging spirit' mean a lot more to me than being published, though that was exciting too;

fropper is rocking; and let's keep it rocking!!!
