WHY ANY DISCRIMINATION FOR OLYMPIC TORCH BEARERS ?

Just now I came to know that our youth and sports minister M.S.Gill has barred film stars and the politicians from carrying the Olympic torch . 

But  I cant understand why so ? He must realise that Olympic is not just about sports and playing a particular game . It is a revolution , a way of life  ,a symbol of friendship and brotherhood, the best example of Global Village .  

Whomsover has the same thinking and follows these principles is qualified to carry the torch . Let him be a politician or film star. It will be a very bad precedent . Supoose to morrow P.T.Usha becomes sportsminister should she  not be allowed to carry the torch ? Will it not be ridiculous ? What about Aslam Sher Khan the present politician who represented India in many Olympics in Hockey , who is more qualified than him to carry it ? But going by the present norms he is barred .

This is simply not in the spirit of the Olympics . Anyone and evryone who contributes to the Olympic spirit in thought and deed should be allowed to do so !!

Will you please rethink about your decision Sir ???
