 No more Anu Malikism!

>> Click here to view original post

Ever since papa and beta Roshans have had to cough up Rs 2 crore after Ram Sampat filed a lawsuit for copying his tune in Krazzy 4, people have woken up and taking intellectual property rights seriously.

The latest bit of news is that any kind of plagiarism or "inspiration" will be dealt with seriously from now on, not only in terms of music but also plot and summary of movies.

No more shoddy remakes of great Hollywood films! Well, now either original writers and directors will get their deserved chance or then there will be no movies made. But then, when it comes to originality, we get great (I'm being sarcastic) movies like One Two Three, Krazzy 4 in the name of entertainment!

Another thought - Hollywood shouldn't be getting all holier than thou about copies. MANY of their movies are based on Japanese, Italian regional films too!

What would the likes of Rakesh Roshan, Vikram Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali do now? Most of their films are lift offs, inspirations (to-may-to, to-maa-to!). And what about Bappi Lahiri, Rajesh Roshan, Anu Malik, etc?? I can't belive I'm saying this - the only reason I can stand Himesh Reshamiya is at least his music is original and successful! Doesn't matter if I like it or not...
