I would like to help you out. Which way did you come in?

 Meena..........

Silently he sat there
At the corner of his room,
which still smelt of the cheap liquor,
he drank the last night and the bidis he smokes.

His eyes blazing and reddening
As the hot sun peeps into the small window
And he sitting there,
A body raging out of an unspent energy
A mind damned of being a waste
He glances at the dogs fighting over a bone.

And not too far
A group of small kids playing
Their fathers already left to work as the daily labourers
And mothers have locked themselves up
Inside their one room houses
Wrapping themselves in gaudy clothes
The doors would open with a small creak
when familiar knocks of a pimp would be heard
and few strangers would be led quietly inside.

Few moments of desperate nibbling
A hunger hurriedly satiated
Few notes thrown on the dirty sheets of the bed
And left behind the bodies which no more reciprocate
And the minds which never tire
waiting for more knocks to be heard.

A day would end rewardingly
With money earned to buy rice and oil
for their kids
And their husbands who would come drunk
carrying pouches of liquor kept stealthily
under the soiled clothes
to loosen up the bodies tired of the whole day’s toil.
The bodies would be beaten out of a wrath unknown
Some bodies would be serving to a hunger again.

And there he sits
a beast incarnating himself
slowly out of a youth who eyes a girl
who is just three, playing among her peers.

He calls her quietly from the window
summons her inside to see a wonder object
which seems as an oddity
among the poorness which hangs there.
Meena, the girl, clinging a dirty doll to her comes inside,
eager and enticed.

He bolts the door
provokes her to slip inside a stinking blanket
to show the watch which glows in dark.

There she sees a pair of eyes shimmering
with a strange passion, incomprehensible to her mind
and could actually hear a nerve ticking away
somewhere in the silence of that cruel afternoon.

A body too small to react and retaliate
was buried in the bed
a tiny figure rebelling haplessly
to shake off the body which weighed her down.

A rage unrestrained ruptured her apart
She lies there cold
A little chunk of flesh on the blood
seeping slowly on the mucky bed.

I spotted her name the other day
In the corner of a daily
I folded it and kept it aside
Giving a moan
As if reading the obituaries
Of the people unknown.

Paedophiles are a curse on civilisation. Every day hundreds of Meenas are feeding the hunger of these dirty perverts. Even educated rich men are known to indulge in this. No one really cares about the scar formed on the child's mind.

Hey! You really must think of switching over to a more creative profession. I'm sure you'll be good at it and and there will be less stress and strain. Great blog. Will serve to create greater awareness about this form of disgusting behaviour amidst men.

Hi a good post,
Yes we all cry with anger and sadness, For some it brings back the past, for others it seems another world,
Some thing to understand is that in many cases, The Perpatrator is a victim, The victim is someone that in later life will become the tormentor, In this case who is the Victim? who should be Punished, We live in a cruel world, A world in which sociaty turns a blind eye, A sociaty that for its own resons of pride alows things to go on, The picture drawn could be played out in places we feel are safe for our child, Things like this make us think if there is god, Its not just the torn body, Its the self doubt, that goes on all your life
Like i said a great topic,

thx to all my frns who wished to read this anad add their comment n reaction too...

well this is a kind of blog, which is ought to wim disgust and anger, can invoke fury and fear...aloofness (that is surely SURPRISING, BUT NOT UNREASONABLE)as dagny pointed out. all the reactions to this are meant to be negative as the reality is so ugly here..ALOOFNESS/SERENE DETACHMENT are just way of ESCAPISM, as we fondly say ignorance is bliss.

but ignoring the fact or by merely hating it could not help. these realtities live amongst us...to remove a vice, we have to agree that it exists..ISN'T?? i share the pain and all the different kindda emotions you guys have shown.

The perpetrator is not a human...such cruelty committed upon innocent child is liken to a beast or worst...Damn those killers. How could they do such thing to an innocent child.
A 3 girl was abducted near her house here and after 3 weeks her body was found stuffed in a sports bag...she was abused, molested, raped and sodomized by A yet to be identified beast/beasts..The beast is still prowling despite the crime he has committed...and the worst thing is these beasts are actually living with us and looks like one of us....
I have 3 girls and I am living in fear.
Even though its 4 mins walk to school I still have to arrange transport for them...Day in day out I will be like a broken record telling to be extra, extra careful....

No.. I doubt if there is anyone here who doesnt know this kind of thing happens.

I am amazed with some of the comments I have read here. I envy people their serene detachment... this aloofness... this it-is-not-my-problem mindset.

And then I laugh at myself. For loving life too well... though maybe not wisely...

You write well... I pray you will write lots more.. and that your words will light a fire in the bellies of people... so that they will make change happen.

Bless you,

Dagny
