I would like to help you out. Which way did you come in?

 Intensity

Think of all the great words and great teachings as your deadly enemy. Avoid them, because you have to find your own source. You have not to be a follower, an imitator. You have to be an original individual; you have to find your innermost core on your own, with no guide, no guiding scriptures. It is a dark night, but with the intense fire of inquiry you are bound to come to the sunrise.

Everybody who has burned with intense inquiry has found the sunrise. Others only believe. Those who believe are not religious, they are simply avoiding the great adventure of religion by believing.

Osho
Zen: Turning In Chapter 10

MY INTERPRETATION

Here Osho doesn't condemn the great teachings or our great scriptures, just cautions us not to end up up as simple followers. The search has to ours and the answers have to found within. The scriptures add to the knowledge and wisdom but should not be considered as the end....they show us the path to be inqusitive in our own way and develop an original understanding n awakening...religion is an adventure and adventure needs one to plunge, not just beleive on the realities which already exist & have been toked abt..

What do you think????

SRIAN, your comment is surely outstanding when u interpret learning to be more inclined towards personal experience n realization of our mental faculties. MIKUNAL also finds learning to be more of an application of mind rather than just a merely blind following.

Thx NEHA, fully agree, learning without involvement of heart is more of imbibing an artificial intelligence...

SATISH is great while finding a wonderful alliance b/w learning n self-motivation..

Thx to all my already well read n learned friends SAMAKSH, SAZZY, BIREN n ME_MEETA, FRIENDS4EVER, SAMSON n MMM. ur presence and statements add a lot….the words u shared surely couldn’t be out of a mind who disagrees from inside….overwhelmed with ur affection.

VISHY, well your comment gives flames to many other ideas and perceptions however if I see it in the light of the thought I shared. It is apt when U say learning is also a journey from darkness to light….from ignorance to realization, and of course journey can’t be imagined with a mind in a static state.

Thx BDA for adding on to the ideas…of course our history which includes our scriptures too, are a wonderful source of reference.

ASYLUM n E4T Simply loved ur remarks when you found teaching and learning to be more directed towards finding out the difference between good n bad…and giving stress on free thinking n keenness to know.

JUSTMEONLY has given a new dimension to the thought when she says that learning is more abt discovering the truth which lies inside and it also lends strength to fight for that truth. Very true, a truth has to be strong and unbeatable.

Yep, TITO, learning and search cannot be imagined without the realms of science n arts…ARTS is itself a way to express your inner self and always a depiction of thoughts which are ought to be original and self realised.

BHARATH has given entirely a new meaning when he finds learning to be a journey of soul and can be acquired through meditation, refection and concentration. THX

POOJARI agrees with OSHO who alerts us of the learning being spoon fed out of our scriptures and books..THX..

MY NEW INTERPRETATION:

Don’t you think that this thought also gives us many grounds where we can try to see critically the new collection of BABAS n GURUS who are screened almost on all the popular channels during the morning hours and they try to interpret scriptures and our ancient books in the same conventions-ridden fashion without even going inside the minds of their listeners. Learning has to be relevant and modernistic.. and should never be inclined towards creating biases and judgements…

thx OLIVE for adding..truly agree RELIGION is all about making other fellow beings happy..there could be no relation between religion and spreading contempt and hatred. Manoj has added a new element of purity and virginity of soul as intrinsic part of being religious/spiritual

Your innermost core has always been pure. Purity is intrinsic to you, it cannot be taken away. Your virginity is eternal. You cannot lose it, there is no way to lose it. You can only forget about it or you can remember it. If you forget about it, you live in confusion. If you remember about it, all is clear.

i thank all my friends a big THANKS to add to the search, mu understandind...for me this search is unending and goin to take a long way as i am away from all those untouched shors which you have already been through..as Creativefront says that we have to follow a GURU without reasonaing...harsh prefers taking the middle path, owing to commfortability and alamara stresses on getting in tch with many good souls. My dear frn Imran finds religion to be indispensable in search of self. m yet to conclude.....for me its a journey and your love and affection have eased it

God is all these experiences together: the experience of beauty, the experience of good, the experience of love, the experience of truth. All these experiences happen through the heart. The totality of these experiences is called God.

After all, it is all within our Self, it is not about our self and it is all about transcending ourselves. BUT i must say \
BUT you need religion to discover oneself....you may be late in understanding but for sure you will discover the truth ....and i agree with ONLYME....

Cheers!!!

three kinds: original individuals, believers/ followers n non-believers...middle one is my path... maybe coz its the simplest.. i believe in going with the realities which already exist.. with experience i've learnt that going against the flow is wrong n time consuming... for originals its like getting awarded posthumously....u see thinking is so difficult for sailor man...
