After women's hockey it's cricket for the Chopras
After Chak De! India, the Chopras would be making a film on women's cricket in which Rani Mukherjee plays the test cricket captain. Hmm... They must have got fed up of all the flop shows the banner has been dishing out - whether Laga Chunari Mein Daag or Tashan. Chak De did well, so guess they are hoping to recreate the magic. The film will be on the lines of Chak De.
Well, yeah, women's cricket has always been treated like Cinderella, minus a fairy godmother. So makes for a nice, dramatic subject also. But don't think Chak De really helped the hockey team in any way. Think would be nice if the makers donated some part of the money (or at least pay in kind) to the sports they make movies on.... I mean, only making a movie about the plight is not good enough. People only praise the actors, direction and songs. Then they forget.
