OUR VISUAL MEDIA , HOW FAIR ARE THEY ?

No one can question the power of the visual media these days with the beaming news channels which are mushrooming even faster than the mushrooms !!But do they really play their parts in forming the public opinion honestly ? They very well realise their role ! Have they reduced themselves only to the TRP ratings ? Have the moral , religious and other factors taken a backseat ?I am afraid they have !

Take the example of the famous Scarlett Keeling rape and murder case . If you remember there were two more killings in Goa at the same time . But how many of us know about it ? It was in all the news channels . But it was forgotten as these two murders were not followed up by them as keenly as the Keeling one ! The reason is quite obvious. With the nice(?)pictures of the rape and murder victim(Scarlette Keeling) it was easy for the media to attract the viewers . And why to splash those pics all the time they reported the news ? Mere face of the victim was not sufficient ! ha ha ha !! And why dont they highlight the other aspect of the story ? What was a 15 year old tourist girl doing there with the drug peddlers without her family ? Why did her mother leave her alone there ? WEll this I am not telling to take the focus out of the murder ! Any incident has so many aspects . Itshould be presented in its totatility and not shown only partialy so as to mislead the people !

Take the example of the Nithari case ! why is the media not following the case as keenly and closely as the above mentioned case ? With this gruesome and heinous serious killings so many poor families are concerned and they dont have that much of glamour and will not attract the TRP ratings ?Or is the serial killer very powerful and have the correct connections to silence the media ?Why does the media not highlightthese murders so that the killers are brought to book ?

Well the reason is obvious . money , money ,money ! The only language spoken so freely all over the world !!

Please will you make a stop of this and speak the language of a free and just and conscious people which you all the time proclaim to be a member ??????

well i guess what ur saying is correct in todays fast growing media lane they the media forgot their aim behind their profession and are running at the back of money and busy in growing their TRP so, i personally feel tat one shuld take these kind of issues to the public with the same source {media} to stop this vulgarity of money and trp nice post thnx 4r sharing.........

Its time the media realised its power and took to serious reporting They have done this as in the case of Jessica Lal murder Case or the Priyadarshini Mattu case So they know they have the capabilities Lets ask them to stop all titiliating reportings and realise that The pen or Camera for that matter is definately mightier than tha sword and should be put to better use .
