Everyday we see that there are more crimes committed by the law enforcers than the law breakers ...

I BESEECH THEE , OH !THE MOTHERS OF INDIA !!!

Oh the mothers of the hallowed and blessed country that is  India , may I a very common and inignificant individual ask something from you on this Mothers day ? I am sure you will not disappoint me because of the magnanimity and the greatness with which you are symbolised !

You know well that in our country during the formative years of a child when the mother only has the greatest influence on him ,what is he told all the time ?  "Padhoge likhoge banoge Nawab ". I think in all the households of India this is the most common reason given to a child to motivate him to study and be educated . But this line has done more harm than any good to them and the country in the larger sense ! When we tell the child to become a Nawab our mothers dont realise what sort of culture she is telling him to follow .

Nawabi as you all know symbolises a culture which is undemocratic , shuns the dignity of lobour , makes one selfish , makes you look down upon the not so well off brothers of yours and many other ills with goes by this Nawabi ..

Now tell me beloved and dear   mother how do you think that our country can prosper and make a name in the world if we tell our children to follow such a culture which is just the opposite of what should be done ? Is it not  mom ?This Nawabi is so much imbibed in them that it is very difficult to remove it from their sub-conscious ! Just like the computer which has been programmed with a bad software !

Instead I beseech thee oh mothers that you tell them "Padhoge likhoge banoge INSAAN ". With this change of one word oh mothers the whole concept of the reason for education among the children will change ! They will be honest , hard working   , compassionate , forgiving , as magnanimous as you , more democratic and many other virtues will follow suit .

I am sure you will not disappopint me on this mothers day ! Take a pledge that henceforth you will tell the children "PADHOGE LIKHOGE BANOGE INSAAN ".

THIS WILL BE THE GREATEST SERVICE TO THE NATION TO YOUR FAMILY AND TO THE CHILD WHOM YOU TELL THIS , OH MOTHER !!!!!

I BESEECH THEE!!!!!!!

Hello
Thank u for sharing the post, being a mom myself i wud say surely mom never meant that her child be anything short of a good human being but since she feels that the child shuld get every thing in a silver platter with golden spoon and as per culture only nawabs lead that kind of life so moms say that way,one more imp thing fathers also play a major part in bringing up the child and shaping his/her future.,Good work keep it up

I really appreciate your plea to the mothers of India and second it with all gusto.

I would like to add a small bit ....learn to be human and appreciate the constraints of another human being.....Insaaniyat.

keep it up friend.

ofcourse, we need to bring our children in a way that they become god human beings rather than remaining ridden with the identities pertaining to merely diffeences out of caste, class n community...a citizen who has love for his country n respect for all his fellow beings and none other than parents can imbibe these values in them..this is an extremely modernisitic approach n need of the hour..

now this is what i call a real take away..very realistic n true..in fact u stole my idea, lolz..

i carry a great affinity with this thought of yours, our culture and the way we bring up our offsprings make them look at their lives far from reality n we try to nurture them with virtues n values which turn them intolerate, prejudiced as u rightly mentioned looking down at unpriveleged ones n undemocratic as well..

wud love to add here, the chauvinism shown by males is also a part of this. mothers n fathers as lovelystars added are the ones who endorse such an attitude. grt reading. loved it
