Rahul Dravid responsible for Bangalore Royal Challengers' poor performance?

>> Click here to view original post

Well, at least Vijay Mallya thinks Charu Sharma and captain Dravid are both responsible why Bangalore Royal Challengers are at the fag end as far as points in IPL are concerned.

The blame game continues here as well. Charu Sharma has been sacked as the CEO and for all the poor performances bad facilities during practice were blamed. Mallya is blaming Dravid and Sharma for ignoring his choice of players.

Anyway, now Brijesh Patel has been brought in as the CEO because he is the secretary of the KSCA (Karnataka State Cricket Association). So obviously he's the best person to provide facilities the team needs at its base in Bangalore. Pehle kyun nahin socha? Maybe because anyway the IPL is more of a glam show than cricket so guess since Charu Sharma is a name more well known and a face more seen, he was the first choice!

Bangalore Challengers' semifinal hopes have been quashed, hope they will win some matches and save their face!

Controversy refuses to leave the Bangalore Royal Challengers. First, team owner Vijay Mallya sacked the team's chief executive Charu Sharma. Now, Mallya has taken potshots at team captain Rahul Dravid. Mallya was quoted by a national daily as saying, “My biggest mistake was to abstain from the selection of the team. Though, I watch a lot of cricket whenever possible, I am no cricket expert at the end of the day.”

“I had a separate list of players that I wanted. But since Dravid is such an iconic player I trusted his judgment. And Charu Sharma also backed him. After seeing the final list, my friends told me it looked like a Test team. But I backed both of them thinking that they advised me properly,” Mallya added. Meanwhile, Sharma also broke his silence after an early exit from the Bangalore IPL team. “What place do I have among men of so much experience, to select a team or select an 11?

As Rahul's team could not come within 8 team in the ODI World cup. Facility was there. When there is a failure he safely tell it is a team fault. He is a very negative attitude fellow. Thanks Selectors that he has been droped from ODI. A Marathan runner is not the right choice for 100mt. Mr. Mallaia also responsible for the wrong choice

winning of the match depends on the team formation.Selection of a test team in 20-20 match is rahul's fault,so some where rahul is to be blamed for losing matches........

He definitely is the one to be blamed for Royal Challengers' poor show in IPL. A captain has to take the responsibility for the team. He has been a good player and maybe he still can play well in Tests but 20-20 is not his cup of tea. If we look at Shane Warne's team, it was written-off in the beggining of the tournament. But it is the managerial ability of the captain that has taken this team of underdogs to such heights. But just a look at Rahul Dravid in this tournament, his body language on the field suggests his mindset. We should not forget here that these are the same players who had declined to play for the 20-20 World Cup. If now they are part of 20-20 is just because of the money involved. At least this is the message that has gone to cricket loving public.
