A Ray of hope in calamity

May 13, the day.... serial bomb blasts rocked the pink city --Jaipur ..... and the dastardly terror act  left more than 65 dead and nearly 200 people maimed or injured.  In the midst of this calamity, a ray of hope  has emerged from an unexpected quarter, bureacracy-- academic bureacracy to be precise.  Generally bureacracy is known for its red-tapism, unimaginative and less public-friendly proposals but in this case the cliche doesn't hold true.

Bureacratic set up in Rajasthan University is examining a proposal to give straightaway admission to youngsters who lost their parents or were themselves injured in the inhuman act of terror and are willing to pursue higher studies.  The admission this fall will also relax the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination for the victims.  The outright intake of students will be open in all streams and those affected will also be exempted from payment of fees for a specific period.  Free accomodation in hostels for youngsters who have lost their near and dear ones is also being mooted.

This is the first time, an educational institution has involved itself in extending healing touch to the victims of terror attack in an unique way.  Kudos to vice-chancellor of Rajasthan University N.K. Jain and the syndicate of the university for this healing touch.

kudos to Mr. N K Jain and the university to take this initiative and contribute positively towards lessening the loss and the grief witnessed by the people effected by this terror attack..this should be taken as a begining for more and more steps like this as every section of society should be contributing during such periods of hopelessness and distress. THX FOR SHARING AND ADDING POSITIVITY TO LIFE
