 morality:

Morality:

There is great discussion on TV news channels about society morals especially regarding sexual behaviour and sex education to students etc.
As far as morals are concerned the acceptable morals differ in different countries, different states, cities, regions, religions etc There are no standards common to all except on very few points like murder. But generally killing (say by bombing) the Indians is no crime in Pakistan and smuggling gold is no crime in UAE.
The moral standards are also changing in our country over the years. Revealing Dress code, acceptability of dating in cities, discotheques, drug culture all are new phenomenon’s beginning to be acceptable in high society in big cities. As economic prosperity of our citizens increases the cultural changes are taking place in society.
May be they are side effects of consumerism.
Whatever society today accepts is o k with me but my point is about moral policeing.
Sometimes orthodox religionist rise or political things like bajarang dal, muslim organizations etc create ruckus on the issues. That’s what is going to cause clashes of culture and give shocks to society which are undesirable. Police have raided lovers in gardens and beaches! I object to unnecessary moral policing by anybody but rather undrtand the fact that moral standards are changing and bound to change irrespective of religions, cultures , communities
.

you are right in ur views. I myself has experienced when I worked in various gulf countries. when our campboss was cought with sounding exhaust pipe the police said that the rules are for the asians not for locals and US nationals. the muthavvas(moral police) use to cane asians found sipping cola/ loitering in market during prayer time but not europeans. they too have double standards.
basically human has become nonobidient of rules. mostly moneyed. recent happenings of BMW, blue line cases, manhandling of so called thief/witches in bihar, ransacking private/ public properties in the name of language/ region. police and the govt are mute spectators. all politicians openly support criminals. A govt emploee is suspended if he is taken to police staton, but a candidate can contest from jail. parties like MNS, DMK, Bhajrang dal should be clipped. also Lalu should not send trainful of biharis to trivandrum for class D recruiment in railways.

no one can force morals. u can talk about it, its up to individual to make their own morals. but its so funny to c police or bajrang dal or shivsena to use their force on these issues. the only thing they shud all force is to make education compulsary and free until secondary school.

VERY TRUE

Any change that has not been properly assessed, analysed and adequately managed will become a tool for the vote bank politics.
