As Euro 2008 is hotting up and one round of matches over,   some predictable results and some surprises / upsets already there.

Portugal, Germany and Spain leading the predictable zones, 

France, Croatia, Czech republic are part of the surprise packages (either way...)

The Netherlands has Phoenixed, while Greece has fallen from Grace...!!!

With more excitment building up,

So,
The Quarterfinal Lineup is as below:
Portugal X Germany - A Virtual Semi Finals for both teams? Germany is trying to come back in full steam and Portugal shows a little bit of complacency and if it continues, it could end up with a big disappointment at this stage... And I hope not...

Croatia X Turkey - Both have lived beyond expectations and its anybody's cake. With the way Croats are playing as if life or death, they seem to be clear favorites here.

Netherlands X Russia - Surprise.. Surprise... Russians have learnt from the Netherlands to rise rise and rise... Will they stop the Orange brigade's march..?? Well, this must be the match to watch...

And 

Spain X Italy - Well, This is another best among equals..!!! No guesses will hod water here... Best of the Quarter Finals will be this match and aptly this is the last match... 

And let me see who of my following picks make it to the semis...

Now, here are the updates...

Quarter Finals:

1. Portugal the first to qualify into quarters...

2. Here comes Croatia as second to qualify for Q8...

3. The ORANGE JUGGERNAUT ROLLS ON - The Netherlands just ran over already demoralized France... into the Q-8...

4. OK. First Upset of the tournament... Turkish Haddi in Czech Kebab...!!! knocked them out... 

5. Germany through - though not in their usual style... And Croatia is rocking...

6. Lets see in Group of Death, who makes it... Is it French Toast or Italian Dream?

7. Italy goes through... The french toasted, burnt and buried... They need another Zidane to get back in top...

8. Somehow I mixed up the groups and now it is cleaned up. As it stands now, Spain is meeting Netherlands in the Semis...

And its gonna be  Portugal Vs Netherlands.. Both are in great form and is gonna be Helluva FINALS...

9.  Quarters starts with a bang. 
Tournament favorites are 'de-Ported by Germans...  Somehow Germans knew it. Anyways, Ballack should have been given foul for pushing, but then, its all in the game... Its all over for the Portugese and Germans are back in the race, through to Semis... And they will have a rather easy opponent there Turkey or Croatia... And this time Germans aren't going to give it away to Croats if it were them in the semis...

Do you expect more upsets to come...??? May be Russia to beat Holland and Spain to run over Italy..??? May be... Lets see this weekend....

That's one more prediction went down the drain.. well I must take some basic lessons from Sheela Bajaj (Bejan is too old for me you see....) 

Croats cracked in the shoot-out and Turkey's best Thanks Giving to the Croatian Goal-keeper...!!!

Well I am not gonna predict anything for tonight... Netherlands are another bunch of nervous bunnies, who might leave it past the post... Let us see..

Just look at what I thought yesterday and it happens here and now..!!!

Nervous Orange Bunnies that the Dutch were and the Russians were running through them all over the place...!!! 

And the Second Goal by "Arshavin-Torbinski combo should be the Goal of the Tournament... What a close range diversion and when he hit the ball, he was in the air, almost upside down, with no vision to the ball... Stupendous effort and truly the Russians deserved the win...

And going by Law of Logics, it should be Spain that should go through tonight... But, so far, all my predictions in the Q8 bit the dust and I don't expect this one to be otherwise either...

So, is it Germany X Turkey and Russia X Spain (or Italy..???)

I think I will stop here my 'Bejaar' predictions and let it just happen....

Well, its Spain in Semi Finals... and sure they have reasons to cheer... 120 minutes of gruelling footlball and they are through...

Logical Prediction is

But then, there is my Prediction...

SPAIN Takes it this time.... 

Yes they did it... They showed it to the world... This is a new young breed of bulls, on the charge... And the World Cup is wreckoning them just a couple of years away...
