This Is Macavity...

Read the article in the Daily Mail ( 12th April, 2007 ), about a white cat in London, nicknamed Macavity, that has a penchant for shopping and uses a specific bus route several times a week. Driver Bill Khunkhun, plying the busy Walsall to Wolverhampton (331 ) bus , first noticed the cat getting into & later jumping off the bus at the same stops most mornings with a group of passengers in January 2007

This is Lady Macavity here
Yes, that's what they call me, dear
Remember Mr Eliot of T. S. ?
The name's from his pages, no less

I like what humans normally do
That's why I take the bus ride too
Why walk the dirty old lane
Like some mundane plain miss Jane

Why not have some fun
While I watch the others run
On the sidewalks and the paths
Freshly out of their daily baths
All the while I'm on this cosy seat
Of the omnibus, looking neat

I sit quietly here at my place
Minding my very own business
But some give me a look or two
I say "Hi" and let out a small "mew"
Can't forget my manners, my cat call
It's the Queen's land, after all

Did I mention my snow white fur ?
And my purple cat collar ?
Well, those are my classy trademarks
Just as I love those creamy quarks
And some fish and chips too
To help me carry my day through

Hence I take this lovely bus ride
That takes me to the shoppin' side
Where I pick up my odd tit bits
Some fish and cheese and chips

Now I can hear dashing driver Bill
Open the door with some goodwill
Adieu, I must get down here, you see
For, it's my stop, so I must now hurry

We'll meet again very soon another day
Same time , same place. Namaste !
