BLACK IN WHITE !!!!

It  was  a Sunday  morning and  as lazy and relaxed as could be for  Akash . He got  up with a yawn but Lily was not there on the bed .He thought she must have got up and may be in the kitchen preparing his much needed cup of tea he used to  have every  morning immediately after he woke up .He didnt leave the bed , remained lying , waiting for Lily and the cup of tea ! 

It was more than 15 mnts and there was no sign of her . There was something very eerie about the calm . He felt as if there was no one in the house and he was alone.He waited for another 10 mts , still no one . He  got up , left the bed and headed for the kitchen . Cursing Lily that why she is taking so much time .

"Lily. where are you ? what is the problem yar ? How long will I wait for a cup of tea ? "

But his sentence bounced back to him .The kitchen was empty !!Where is she ? May be in the bathroom , both the bathrooms were bolted from outside , still he opened them and looked inside. No one there  too. Now he was worried . It was very unusual for her . She never even went outside the house so early in the morning . Where could she have gone ?He went out of the house and to the main gate !

 During the night before Akash went to sleep he used to lock this gate  from inside everyday without fail . He did it last night also , but it was unlocked now !! Means Lily had unlocked the gate and gone out . But what for ? And if she had to go why did she not inform him ? He was very perplexed , very  confused .

He now noticed that since Lily had come back from her trip to Bangalore her behaviour had been very strange. She had been very much pensive and used to be lost in her thoughts very often . While talking to him she suddenly used to give the feeling that she is mentally somewhere else ! Now that she was away without any explanation, things about her unusual behaviour started making some sense .She was very much disturbed by something which must have happened there !But why this sudden disappearance ?Why she could not tell him ? 
These questions were hammering his mind and he went back to the bedroom and lied down on the bed exactly where Lily was sleeping . Waiting for her to come back .

There was a side table just beside the bed .Akash saw a piece of white paper there , folded neatly and kept there under a paper weight ! His heart missed a beat ! He didnt want to pick it up . But still he had to . He mustered the courage and picked it up .Unfolded it and saw the neat handwriting of his wife Lily !

"Akash , my love , my sweety , my life my everything ,please pardon me ! I am no more that Lily whom you loved . .I lost your Lily in Bangalore . The one who had been with you for the last few days was only the shadow of hers . 

Karan was a nice guy there in the seminar . We had struck friendship but nothing more than that from my side. He had some ulterior motive ,I never knew . The last night during the farewell party he mixed something in my cold drink .By the time the party ended I was not feeling well. Felt very drowsy, unable to walk straight .He held me and helped me getting to my room .He came inside , made me lie down on my bed . Closed the door , I was simply helpless , could not lift my hands or feet . He also lied down beside me. Took my clothes off , his own also . And then raped me . Left me like that and went away.

I know it will be so hard for you to believe all this .I was helpless throughout.The drug had so much effect that I was just like a dead body .Your Lily was lost Akash . I cant face you. How can I explain the loss to you ?? Can you take it ?? How can I explain my inability to protect your Lily ?? I cannot Akash !! I am going to find her , if I can . This is the least I owe you . Till then bye my love !!"

"Oh Shitttt !! What did you do Lily ?All the love , all the trust , all the faith we had for each other , all gone waste in one go !!!Did you trust me only this much ? How could you ,of all the persons , do it to me ?? Do you think I would not have understood your helplessness ? On the contrary , you have saved my Lily ! The black Lily , the black spot in the white Lily was left there in Bangalore , you are my even more pure , more white Lily !! Why Lily , why ??????Why did you leave me alone to face all this ?How cruel you can be !! You knew all the way what this is going to do to me , still you left me , I cant ever forgive you !! "

And Akash was filled with remorse and anger for Lily . But she had to be found out .He had to settle scores with her !

Lily had one friend Sarah , with whom she was very friendly and sometimes stayed back at her place whenever he was out of town on some official job .

 He didnt even change his dress,
took out his car ,locked the house , and headed for Sarah's place at a breakneck speed !

He stopped the car at the gate , opened it and rushed  straight in the house .Lily was sitting with her friend in the drawing room !Sarah could see the furious mood of Akash and left the room saying she will be back in a moment . 

When Akash  was alone he got hold of Lily , pulled her out of the chair and slapped her hard left and right !!

"You fool how could you do this to me ?"

"Yeah Akash , I deserve this after what I did in Bangalore ."she said and started sobbing violently , and put her head on her chest .

"No Lily this slap is not for what someone did with you in Bangalore , but it is for what you did with me here , you fool ! !"He shouted at her !

"What happened there in Bangalore was none of your faults , it didnt have your consent , but what you did to day was a grave crime against our belief , our mutual trust and everything for which we two  stand for ! Do you understand ? How could you leave me alone with that letter only ?? How lonely and helpless I must have felt?You didnt have the courage to face me and tell me everything face to face ?  How wrongly you have judged me Lily . I hate you !!!!! You want to go ?, please go now if this is what you think of me !"

And Akash turned away from her to leave . Lily held him tightly and sobbed and sobbed on his shoulders .

"Cant you forgive me for what I did to day ?  . I knew this is going to happen , thatswhy I came here to Sarah's place , knew that you will come here . It is only that I didnt want to tell you myself Akash ! Do you think you would have taken all that so bravely if I was there in front of you ? Wouldnt you have broken down ? "

And Akash could not take any more , he also broke down in her embrace . 

"Yeah Lily you know me better than I do myself !! "

With tears running down  ,both of them held each other 
and went out of the room. Sarah came in to see them off.

 As they both got seated in the car , Lily said "Akash you slapped me hard dear , it hurts ."

"Oh sweety , sorry sorry sorry !", and started kissing her
where he had slapped her!!!! .

Sarah came out of her house and saw the car speed away from the gate and disappear at the curb !!!!!!

 My story tells the bickerings which the marriage and relationship has to withstand in these modern days when both of them have jobs and are exposed to such kind of situations day in and day out. These irritants can be fought only with the mutual trust , faith and love one has for each other !!!
