Money is a means to an end and not an end in itself
We find ourself eternally in this trap of means to an end and start considering it as an end in itself.......the money is such a trap.It is understood that the money is important for leading a normal life but the question is asked how much is enough? At some stage from the NEED the GREED takes over and then we are in the roller coaster ride of acquiring everything bigger and costlier....the quest of acquisition goes on ...
Samaranand after delivering the above goodies paused for a glass of water. He drank the water with such relish as though he was drinking the nectar of life.He continued his discourse.
While one is in the mode of greed then he pays scant regards to two most important things of his life and they are his family and his own health. There is enough money for the family to spend but there is true love missing. At least the family members complain that he does not give enough attention to them and then he sometimes tries to balance his life but can not sustain as the greed has already taken over his soul. The poor health warns him through growling stomach or sleeplessness but he has cure for this. There is pill available in the market to relieve him of his such ailments,so he pops those as per his ailment. He has gone for a quick fix or symptomatic solution and not a diagnostic one.He has temporarily manged to stave off the trouble but those have not gone really.
Many among the devotees started thinking about their own life styles and priorities, most of them were old so now they understood, where they went wrong? Can they roll back the time?
They have potful of money but no peace of mind. They are looking for a quickfix solution for their woes by coming to the shrine of Samaranand and Guruji understands that.He does not give them any concocted medicine to ease their frayed nerves. He does root cause analysis for them and the cure has to be worked out by the individuals. He has no one size fits all solution as offerred by other yogis.
