The big 4

WHY????              WHY NOT???

Sunil Gavaskar, retired while he still had a few more
years left in the game. In fact, his second innings
knock of 96 on a big spinning track in his last Test
(against Pakistan in Bangalore in 1987) is considered
to be one of his best knocks. 

His retirement was as graceful as his batting. When
reporters asked about this he said,
” I wanted to retire when people ask WHY, not 
WHY NOT?” 

Looking at the big 4 of our current team, 
the way they seem to be groping against the spinners,
Muralidharan & Mendis, one can’t help ask, 

WHY NOT???
