Extraordinary ordinary women!

Read two reports on women's bravery to safeguard their daughters and their interest. Dr Mitu Khurana gave birth to twin daughters in spite of harassment from her husband and in laws, who fraudulently had a sex determination test of her feotus and were forcing her to have it aborted because they wanted a boy! The husband is a doctor. What's the use of education?

But even now there's little help coming from the Delhi Commission for Women, the CDMO, Northwest Delhi, Core Monitoring Committee of PNDT, written to the Prime Minister. Read the entire story...

In another story a mother moved Madurai High Court because her husband stalled their daughter's Engineering education. The shocking thing in this case is that the girl's present college refused to give the transfer certificate and marksheet etc because the father urged them not to! They are an educational institute, for Godsakes! Thankfully the girl's mother isn't spineless like them. Read the story here.

Good to know that there are women who are courageous enough to go against their husbands. Imagine the hell they may have to go through because of the rebellion. But then, they have their self respect intact! This is emancipation, not the way some women think - staying out late and smoking, drinking, etc in the name of equality!

Your post clearly shows that it is only the educated who are destroying the moral fabric of this country. Education today only promotes learning by rote and does not bother to inculcate the much needed values for establishing a civilised nation.

Kudos to the women mentioned in your post who had the guts to stand up against these educated crooks. Great post.
