 CREEPER

Walking along contour like paths
Of the wilderness one day
I came across a grove of
Olive and violet creeper gay
Laden with hundreds of
Passions on it and
Fragrant twinkling flowers
Providing a selfless treat
To hummers and hovers
That gathered around
Feeling happy I moved on
Wishing to see it
Again on some other day
Carried away in the stream
Of time and work I returned
A month later to see
Neatly cut trunk of
A dead tree hiding
Under the vine
Scattered all around
Crushed and stamped
Snatched and pulled
The greens and yellows
And the violets that adorned
The dead tree lie lifeless
Torn and bruised all over
Unable to see, I moved away
Never to return, failing
To erase that I saw the other day.
Time again, a big healer
Seemed to call me
Making me restless and
Forcing me to pace my
Lousy steps, regretting
My inability to stay away
I proceeded avoiding the spot
But lo! My eyes sparkled as
They registered soft tender
Tendrils encircling the
Remains of the dead tree
As though a teenager
Waking out of sleep
Yawning and stretching
Her hands to the blue sky.
Every particle in this world
Living embodiment of
The way of the nature
No matter what happens
The life goes on and
The life goes on.

In response to the comment of gentle_whisper I wish to say that this is another anecdote - the tree, once alive faced wrath of the man as Electricity Deptt people cut its branches mercilessly, and could not come to life again. It just stood their dead, until a vine of Passion flower climbed on it and spread all over. But it is again the man who treating a dead tree to be inauspicious severed it further down till a feet above the ground. Either dead or alive the tree and the vine existed harmoniousely and though dead it supported the vine in every way. Now who is the tresspasser? Please think.
