 Mask

         my mask

 my mask
 i tried removing
 but  found another
beneath it
glaring at me

i don't recognize it
may be
i was a mask
this face removed

the mask stares at me
or is it a face
i look around
i am besieged
masks,all grim
surrounding me
i can't run
i lay crushed by mask

all assorted by me
all my life,everyday
discarded whenever i wished
now seeking revenge

if i can find my face
i may yet be saved

but my face is a mask
mocking
and going away
my shriek follow it
in vain ....

MASK..dont we all waer them, a sheer desire to please others make sus do so, it has become a part of life, cannot imagine ourselves without it..

Even in our pvt world we fear to be without this mask!

We wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,--
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,

Nice composition!!

Mask..

We all wear them.

And in turn become zombies to our ownself..

Mirror's we are scared off..

We block memories coz thass we rather not be..

We have a choice to unmask.. but then why take the hard path when the easy one is available, lil realising that it gets even harder to reconcile later..

But again postponement is the name of the game..

This post is simple yet so profound..

Nice read buddy..

Bilkul sahi kaha aapne....

Insaan ka ek chehra hota hi nahi hai. Us chehre par kitne Naqab lage hue hai ye use khudh hi nahi pata. use pata nahi ki kab, kis waqt ek naya naqab pahanna padega. Aap chah kar bhi apne purane naqab ko wapas nahi la sakte hai. Yahi life hai dear.

Really very nice post dear

Masks are made by us and industrial growth is backed by politicians to exchange their boxes to save their government. Industrial revolution can happen in UK only without disturbing agriculture industry too.

i think the mask is our 'conditioning' which keeps our real soul self suppressed...everyone suffers from this ....we are forced to do things we do not want to do

very well written, can be narrated with passion on stage!
