West Bengal's loss is Gujarat's gain!

Big kudos to the Narendra Modi Govt for being on-toes in giving the orphan Nano project a home! Just 10 days is commendable to get such a big thing sorted out.

Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee invited Tata to WB, in the first place, and even went so far as offering what other states were offering to start the plant there. Wish he could do something about saving the project for WB. Honestly, I've been having difficulty believing that Tata would involve in forceful land acquisition. And I'm sitting on the fence as far as the issue is concerned. It would have been great for development and progress of WB, but at the cost of agricultural land being disturbed for the purpose.

Check out the interview with Ratan Tata on the issue. In another interview he says that he suspects corporate rivalry for the ouster of the project. As far as Mamta Banerjee is concerned, she is only making Trinamool Congress base stronger since they target the rural areas.

This whole episode is intriguing.
A deso;ate place where farming itself is low key...
Commies want industrialization...
Ms M suddenly finds a farmers' cause!!
And a business man threatens libel against those who would say he bribed Ms M to get Nano out...
An Indian Ludlum or is it Indian bedlam?
