LOVE YOURSELF FIRST

The reason for this choice is not selfish
but based within my caring for us both 

If I love you first
I put a greater value upon you than me 
It will be therefore hard for me to feel 
that I am more than second best 

If I love you first 
And then you change 
Then my love may not be able to keep up 

If I love you first 
I might except the same from you 
And I might get disappointed 

If I love you first 
Then our love for both of us 
will grow at your pace 
And I am not in control of you,Just of me 

If I love you first 
And you leave 
Then I am left with the second rate love 
BUT 

If I love me first 
Our love for both of us 
Will grow at my pace 
I will not subvert my needs to yours
And therefore, a happier person 
For you to be with 

If I love me first 
Then I will know Self Love 
and you will be able to love a whole person 

If I love me first
And you leave
You will not take essential pieces of me with you
And I can stay your loving friend forever 

If I love me first 
You can get a greatest gift that i can give 
I can give you the bounty of my own love 

So love me second 
And only & only then 
I can get the true quality and quantity of love 
THAT LIVES WITHIN YOU.
