 logic's rant

i am eerily calm?
it deflects people around me.
they claim
i don't feel.
they tell me
i am inhuman.
but that may not be true,
as it's been unconfirmed to me.

i could perhaps
attempt to feel,
if i learn how it is done.
but i know i am unable
 to emote
successfully.

i can only think
 things out instead.
simple algorithms.
is that a different way to be?

if it is,
i won't be able to improve.
it must be a defect,
a manmade anomaly?

there's never joy
or sorrow on my face.
they say.
just that calmness,
i do not create.
just a reflection to theirs,
constantly analyzing,
questioning,
defragmenting,
they sense
only the lifeless look
 of reasoning.
the why & the how
being thrown back.
they're left more alone.
un-touched.
un-moved.
un-soothed.
they know
my being hasn't the capacity
to know if it can feel.
for all it has known all along
is to process.
investigate.

i fail to see
why i would be
perfect only with a heart?
the kind they speak of,
the kind they prefer to meet.

isn't information,
aren't deductions enough?

Am adding a note now coz am tired of repeating myself. does one have to actually BE the protagonist to sing the nursery rhyme- "I am a teapot, short & stout..." ?? Same case here.

Rant? Far away from it. What I gathered from this Poetry is this...

People expect certain things from us or things that we must have within us. If they find us to be what they expected, we are fine human beings. If not, they deduce saying, there's something wrong with us.

This poem is the reflection of a mind that may be solo but not alone.

hey .. have a thing to say ... if its so calm .. why is it eerie ... it should be bliss ..right..? and if its logic .. how come its a rant ? .. rants are so illogical .... and if all those things that people say don't touch ... why do they reflect in the algorithm..and hey... what's with all this negativity ... what does one deduce from the algorithmic epithet .. that rides the tempest of these words .. and i quote u ... " eerie, unconfirmed, unable to emote, defect, manmade anomaly, lifeless, untouched, un-soothed, unmoved" .. unquote... i trace these words in the algorithmic life and i sense an emotion which says ... Out of the ashes of my self-extinction/ a better self revive .. smile ..

Asy...

See there are 2 kinds of issues you can be emotional about. And the quantity of emotion you expend, depends on the quality.

The are issues which are on the surface of life. You can cover the whole gamut with a thin layer of emotion. It isnt much in quantity... but it looks a lot when spread. People who operate on this level have nothing to spare for the other kind.

Then there are issues which are way below the surface. You expend emotion as you go down. So there is not much left by the time you reach the issue. It then looks like you aint got much to give.

Then of course.. you have nothing left for the surface issues.

I would rather people go in deep... those who are equipped. Not everyone can... they feel claustrophobic. But some dont.

Logic..? That's one tool which helps you go in deep and keep you sane on your mad, fast and thrilling descent.

Hug...? Oh all right...!!!

Hugzzzzzzzz....<br />
