A story of hope this Children's Day

Happy Children's Day everyone! Do something child-like today, just for the fun of it and let me know what you did :) Or if you celebrate it with your kids, that too!

Anyway, I was sure to find Children's Day special stories and articles today... but this one was really sweet to read. It's about a bal mitra gram or child-friendly village Nagalkhumba, where the head of bal mahapanchayat is a 11-year-old boy Ubed and has Razia Sultan, an 11-year old girl who is the elected member of the same national body that deals with social issues related to children and has been working at banishing child labour.

Click here to read the article. If all the stats here are factual, then it's quite commendable. And let's hope there are more and more bal gram and it extends to cities as well.
