 Bombay meri Jaan

I love Bombay over the years and at the same time I envy Bombay( I like it that way than Mumbai).
But what happened today was beyond words……I’m still trying..
I being a Delhi-ite I always wanted to compete with Bombay but today I want to be as close as I can to Mumbai (Yes I don’t mind as long as I close and closer)
I’m watching all those on TV now and I don’t like it.
For me Bombay was a place where I can get into taxi with someone from Allahabad and then get into a bar run by a Shetty from South or north western coastal Karnataka to being served great dinner by a Keralite. While in Colaba , I always had a great company of friends wanting to go to HaziAli before its too late. After Hazi Ali….its great to walk on the band stand and pick up your last drink packs from pinky wines..,
Then go to the sea front and pay few left fishermen families to cook you an authentic dinner which does not include anything more than a fish curry, a dry veg thingy and rice.

Where that Bombay which imbibed and accepted whatcame along.
I would love to announce Bombay as National Heritage if not UN Heritage ( I’m not waiting for it)

And can we have a proper home security plan and force in place….as I hear now we’ve some terrorists( I hate to type this word) in Taj Hotel. How are you going to flush them out?
Police is waiting for them for an hour now…pathetic…
I like Israel someway….I like Mosad..whom we trained in some aspects but…

So who all can say its my Mumbai……Aamchi Mumbai..its for all of us
Its my Bombay….long live Bombay with all its diversities.
That’s the way Bombay is Bombay..

So next time I’m in Mumbai….Bombay duck on me ( BTW I’m Vegiiee)

4. Israeli press said lot of negative about Indian counter terrorism operations at nariman house but the hostages were killed on the day one, so thankfully avoiding further allegations from Israeli authorities and their big ego.

Okay I’m bit tired now and have lot to say….I’ll back taking a break now….
Thanks all and salute to Bombay, Baombay-iets, NSG, MARCOS, Police, PAF and every citizen of Bombay including the press.

3. No Channel is telling about unsung heroes, the staff of Taj and Oberoi. What I heard from those who were rescued, these men and women were instrumental in getting them out alive. What I heard and saw on TV, at one floor when the terrorists asked for the master key for all rooms, 3 staff (1 guy and 2 girls) of Taj refused, each of them took atleast 2-3 rounds of bullets on their body but did not hand over the master key. Then till the last hours of the operations in Taj, there were Taj staff all along with the NSG commandos helping them with the layout and the key entry and exit points, making the operation successful. Who were they, I would like to see them and if possible see them honored/rewarded.

Yeah it’s all over now and here is the erratum: I meant “I did not know” instead of “I did know”. Plus many typos and missed words
I also want to thank all of you who commented and read the blog. I know there was not much to comment as we all were speechless. But I think now we all speak up and start demanding from out ministers elect to act. As you all know I’m not good at writing stories even if I was one of the first ones to blog about it atleast on fropper.
I did not keep it very interactive as I was busy watching TV all along and at the same time so angry and depressed that I did not wanted to use fropper to vent out.
So here are some points:
1. New face of terrorism emerged out of India. Even US and FBI has not seen this face of it till now.
2. NSG did not have a plane to fly off in time from Delhi.

when I posted I did know serious the situation was, I joked a bit but as it turned out its no Joke.
I'm kinda happy the it was hndled and at the same time I feel sad for presious lives that we lost maybe due to the same reason, as me we all took it lightly and ATS head going in to counter a heavily armed and that too with sofisticated weapons agaist 303 with malfuntions.
all I an say is salute to that fighter.
as of now we are on the last leg of the operation flush, it was good to see all the media blacked out....
I did not like AN Roy frpm Mumbai police making statements about what he did not know as the whole operation was transferred to Army and to NSG.
He more of a politician than a cop. beware Bombay- ites.
Of all the coverages I liked CNN-IBM and NDTV(english one) at times IndiaTV barged in but with very less substance.
right now its all media blackout,,and I like it.
Thanks all who took time out to type in words here but we need go more miles, right isn't is?
