WHAT DOES AIDS MEAN???????
AIDS:STANDS FOR acquired immune deficiency syndrome
Acquired: Means u can get infected with it
Immune Deficiency: Means a weakness in the boby’s system that fights diseases.
Syndrome:Means a group of health problems that make up a disease
HOW IS IT CAUSES????
AIDS is condition caused by a virus called HIV. This virus attacks the immune system. The boby’s ‘’security force’ that fights off infections.
When the immune system breaks down, you lose this protection and can develop many deadly infections and cancers.
These are called opportunistic infections because they take advantage of the body’s weakened defenses.
WHAT IS HIV?????
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)
Is a virus, like the flu or cold
A virus is really nothing but a set of instruction for making new viruses, wrapped up in some fat, protein and sugar.
Without living cells, a virus can’t do anything- it’s like a brain with no body.
In order to make more viruses, a virus has to infect a cell.
HOW DO YOU GETS AIDS????
You don’t actually ‘’get’ AIDS. You might get infected with HIV, and later you might develop AIDS.
Most people get the HIV virus by: having sex with an infected person
Sharing a needle (shooting drugs) with someone who’s infected
Being born when their mother is infected ,or dirnking the breast milk of an infected woman
