Geet (Sunao) Milao! The Cat Ran Away With the Canary!

 Geet Sunao Milao!
The cat ran away with the canary!

Several Parts of the Indian Fropperdom has been eagerly and nail bitingly waiting for the arrival of this lady from L-----; Jaipur is waiting; Belgaum is waiting; Pune is waiting; and so are the rest of India! While they were focussing their attention at the front door, where she would sweep in, in all her cute five inches, she gave them all the slip through the enticingly beckoning back door to the once upon a time ‘garden city’, Namma Bengaluru!

Now, Bengaluru wasn’t prepared for her visit, not even in its remotest dream! But ‘happening cities’ are armed for any eventuality; forewarned, or otherwise! So it was that came to be, that the city saw these two most jubilant women, walking with gay abandon through its traffic ridden streets!

A pretty petite woman, in flowing skirts and matching blouse, a dainty cap more daintily perched at an attractive angle and this absolutely fatso lady, in jeans and tops, fell into each other’s arms with such joy and tenderness, and almost at the same instant started talking; no first-meeting-awkward moments!

The little woman was brought back to an awareness of her social manners; so they pulled apart and paused, only for as long as it took her to introduce her family present with her; her son, daughter, sister and nephew; quite a gathering! But they were smart; soon after the pleasantries, they left these two madcaps to themselves, who were more than happy to ‘catch up’, over cups of tea and cappuccino!

After about an hour and more, the family came back from window-shopping; the entourage then took a cab to Hard Rock Café, Bangalore, where a ‘to-be’ bahu of the family joined them too. And so the spacious and music filled café, saw them all ensconced in seven comfortable sofas! The evening began with tequilas, margaritas and glasses of white wine, the most efficiently groomed maitre-de going slightly cross eyed at their rapid-fire and varied orders!

The main course again was a rocking affair; while some were happy with simple and familiar fare like burgers and prawns, others went overboard in their adventurous spirit; so it had to be ‘farjhitas’, that turned out to be a dish of sizzlers with paneer, a huge plate of chopped and grated vegetables that comprosed of  tomato, onions and lettuce accompanied by mayonnaise, whipped yogurt and sauce that were to be layered on top of tortillas made of corn-flour and to be made into a roll! Oh boy! That was HUGE!

And then the families from UK and Canada collected memorabilia from Hard Rock Café, glasses and pins that said, “Namma Bengalauru’,! And then as all fairy tales, this came to an end too!

Goodbyes, hugs, promises to stay in touch, hearts that didn’t want to part, and smiles that said it all ---------------------the wonderful evening was taken away by the two ladies, to be tucked away into the folds of memory and to be shared on the portals of fropper!

And so dear friends, Geet’s meeting with CJ, here for you to read about, with pics! No points for guessing who’s who! You all know us by now!

It was wonderful meeting with this charming, peppy, chirpy, vivacious woman, who claims to be 50 plus, but looks as if she’s right out of college! And you know guys? She flirted with the waiter there! Big time! Oh boy! Did she!
ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
