BHARATH SELVAN AND FRIENDS IN GOA-EPISODE-4

Dear friends,

Some days have elapsed since i put up the thrid episode. You, me all drifted away from it getting into other mundane things around us and it is time for the fourth episode. Come on, I take u there to Goa.

Before i launch myself into it, let me fill u on some omissions in the third episode. A strange thing happened as I typed in the episode and methodically saving it, all of it were gone including the draft. That made me hurry through the loading. The cursor was jumping up and down as if some one has sneaked into the system. Unfazed ,i finished the loading on the second effort.Great! But there were spelling mistakes much to my dislike.

Manisha sang a beautiful song . Me and Suma joined in congratualting her. I shook her hand and Suma gave her
a sweet kiss.

I joked they were all drunkards also calling myself a non-drunkard. Me a drunkdard nevertheless if one wants to put it that way!

These two items got omitted during my hurried second attempt to load the last episode.

  Ok, Now it is done!

That moves us into the current episode.

Third day. The 20 th June 2009.

By this time me and Suma were getting comfortable after the initial hesitation.I wanted to know the meaning of tenjade. She told me she is not disclosing personal details. I said i will find out. Ok, find out and tell me was her reply.

Everything seemed to move smoothly when Suma suddenly asked,

"Why are u constantly looking at me?"

By jove! I was totally unprepared. I went pale.

"It hurts me!" i made a complaint to Manisha also. Manisha cooly asked me to tell her the same.

   "I only joked" - Suma.

  "She got away with it!"

I was already tense after Suma's arrival and the tension sat on me! I consciously started avoiding having a look at Suma even while we were talking.

The ladies were freely hugging each other.

"I am getting envious!" was my comment whenever they did it.

"You men can do within yourselves!" That was Manisha's gentle rebuke!

Sunil was busy with beer  and chat. Khsuhi and Geet were enjoying the meet more than others. Khushi was really in Khushi mood with breath-taking costumes. She appeared lovely in person than her beautiful pictures seen on fropper. Gorgeous!
Geet looked very young and attractive for her age leaving me wondering what she did to maintain her looks.

We were all sorry for Arjun as he was not well with the stomach upset.

After noon, we all except started off to Colva beach in a hired toyota car. Arjun preferred to stay back in the resort to take rest. Sunil left his car in the resort. So he was free sitting with  Suma in the rear. Me as usual in the front. I was observing the movements of vehicles around me and made mental note of their  numbers. Why? the relevance will be revealed when we come back from the beach.

Travelling outside the resort always provided the opportunity to have a look at the country side of Goa's outskirts. Although sad, the villages were turning into resorts, the view was spectacular with lush greenery around.

Sun God was soothingly behind the clouds when we reached the beach. It drizzled and got into a mild shower. The ladies walked away to the beach with their swimming apparels. Suma bought a wrap-around in the shop before the beach entrance.

Sunil was eager to purchase the sleeveless t-shirts as he has seen me wearing one in the morning. We both went and selected a t-shirt for him. Earlier in the morning Geet gave each one of us a gift. Me got a pair of pen!-encased in a leather pouch. That gave us the idea to purchase a gift for the ladies. Sunil bought some pearl-like necklaces. I was totally unprepared for this,  still i bought some small gifts to all the ladies. I also bought a head-cap with GOA inscription

This purchase itself took about an hour. Still more time fled. There was no sign of the ladies who went to the sea. It seemed an eternity since they set foot on the beach.

Sunil and me were pacing the front of the beach. We were searching for the Indian toilet to relieve our nature's call. Indian toilet? what is it? Open ground! We came back to the car. As there was no sight of the ladies still, Sunil suggested to me to wear my cap and go look for them on the beach for he felt I can go and look for the ladies on the beach unrecognised as a new man!

I went and looked for them. To me the ocean always brought  memories of 2004 Tsunami as i was in a tsunami affected area at that time.(I have put in a three part account of what i saw during Tsumani here)

I stopped some distance away from the sea  shore and looked around. They were  not to be spotted.

I came back to the car and the ladies have materialised there!

We drove back to the resort. On the way i noticed the same car which went just in front of us on our way to beach now overtaking us and speeding before us. A particular number was written on the back glass of the car

The following people on my trail. No body need to be alarmed as they are interested in me alone.

"I am doing a james bond work!"

"Ah, do it!" welcomed Suma from the back of the car.

We came back to the resort and spent time till it was night. Time to go into the Casino.

   CASINO ROYAL!.

We set foot on it in the next episode. It is time for pack-up here!

  Till then. Bye. Take care.

P.S.: No need to be agitated about Suma telling me soemthing in the morning. One has to forget and move on. This is what frienship is all about. If we are very strident no friendship will flourish. I wil say how i could have avoided the momentary tensions by formulating my reply nicely. Let me tell u  how.

Thanks for reading. Your valuable comments welcome.

  Bharath selvan.

Thanks Mohan! Got a picturesque idea of how the meet took place at Goa.You are a very simple person...perhaps the fish out of the pond. But I appreciate your gesture in accepting people as they are.So very genuine & honest. That's what life is all about. We meet different kinds of people and we have to learn to blend with differences but at the same time maintain our individuality. That's a learning experience.
Thanks for the simple narration so flently written.
