I reckon such interference by a few no more possible – given an omnipresent media, comparatively more enlightened public opinion in the US and Europe (from where the leaders of this group supposedly come), rapidly changing centres of influence (e.g., China, Brazil, India). All such things are going to put a very big spanner in the real or imaginary schemes of this group (if such schemes, or even such a group, exist in the first place). I am quite optimistic about that.
