A Lazy Sunday!
A Lazy Sunday!
After six days of hectic routine I always see the Sunday as a solace, freedom from the routine and a day to retreat.
Since Friday only I start planning of doing things on Sunday, my favorite day. (For that matter it’s everybody’s favorite day.)
First thing I always fantasize that I should get up late in the morning on Sunday, because the six days of a week I have to get up at 5 O’clock in the morning, so that I can catch the train of 7.56 to Church gate. And the traveling in the local train, oh my God! I wish I should be born anywhere in the world in my rebirth (If it is there?) except in Mumbai.
The milling crowd in the train compartments (first class) at these wee hours also brings shudders in my body. And the Sunday means, one day’s freedom for me from this zombie in the local train.
My next program on Sunday is to go to the market at around 11.30 AM to bring chicken and some booze to celebrate the Sunday.
After taking bath leisurely and the breakfast my wife advises me to go to the market. And I readily go.
The next program is that watching my favorite TV show, the Cricket match (if India is winning) while taking sips of whisky and smoking till the lunch is ready.
After the lunch is over I cherish to take my afternoon nap. I hate if anybody disturbs me at this heavenly hour!
In the evening after the nap and tea I go for a stroll along with my friend. We talk and take the stock of things in the last six days. Discuss the current events, while sitting in a bar and drinking whisky and smoking.
And then after the dinner I have to sleep, without thinking about the Monday next morning!
This is my idea of Sunday, but it is still to come in my life!
