AS IN THE RELIGIOUS BOOK

   I n one of the Hospitals for chldrean in Athens, the mother is at her child's pilow night and day.

The child has been transterred urgenthly from the city of Patra because his choronic disease, paralysis of his legs, has become worse the last days. However,in the Hospital the same treatment is repeated for years, (as calsium lacks from the childs body).

     An afternoon, when the sun was going down
and its faint sunbeams lit the room of the hospital, the mother remembered having gone to a country chapel of the Virgin Mary, outside the city of Patra and praying lighting the sacred lamps with her husband or with her children. Her mind is now wandering to the chapel and she's praying  : Virgin Mary , sweet Mother who left so much pain. Help my child. Send me a Saint, see my poor child how is striving in life to stand on his feet. Help my poor little boy.

Mother, what are you saying? Who are you speaking to? said little George.

   My child, George, do you remember having read at the religious lesson how our Lord, when He was living in Palestine city , cyred possessed and blind people, raised paralyzed who they walked and resurrected dead people? Tell Him George, you, who are a good child and AHe listens to you, to treat you, too.

   The helpless child with his innocent eyes is looking at his mother , at the sun which going to set and, high, in heaven.

    Past midnight and litle George sees in his dream a hansome rider with a strong proud horse.
He stops in front of him and tells him:

- Get up George and ride my horse!
-But i ' m disable and i can't stant on my feet.
-Give my your hand, George and ride the horse.
I m Saint John, the Russian, and Lord sent me to transfer His Grace and His curative power to you.

   The little boy is restless in his sleep, he wakes up and the mother holds him not to fall off the bed. Mother, hold me , Saint John, the Russian, told me to get up.

   In the morning, when the night staff told the doctor that the disable child from Patra had walked, he examined his legs which they react properly. God is with you !
