Desires...

Desires arise on their own..Don't they? Do they ask us before they come? What do you want to do with them? Supposing you don't want to have any desire then that itself is another desire! Let's presume we want to go to a movie then we have to buy a ticket, obviously. This ticket needs to be produced at the door. If we hold on to the ticket then how do we go in?

If we want to get admitted into a college for accomplishing a course then we have to submit an application with all the details! We cannot hold on to the application and expect the college to give admission. Isn't it?

On the journey of life we have to keep submitting our desires and not hold on to them; And as we keep submitting them fewer desires come up. Unfortunate are those who keep on desiring and yet their desires are not fulfilled. A little more fortunate are those whose desires get fulfilled ove a long period of time. More fortunate are those whose desires get fulfilled as soon as they arise!

The most fortunate are those who have no desires because there is fulfilment before a desire can arise. Give away the desire to God and then you will find that you are already in the answer!

Surrender and submit to the Almighty ...

Be happy..Keep smiling..!

Just a little shift !!!!

A very Good Thursday Morning to you all Friends...

Knowledge is beyond events. Every event colours your awareness in some way: Pleasure, pain, joy, sorrow, anger, jealousy…anything. Each event gives you a false notion of what reality is. Truth is beyond all the colours of particular events.
Behind every object is infinity. Objects are limited and changing, yet they exist in infinite space that never changes. Reduce any object to atoms; you will find that within each atom is contained infinite space. Beyond all objects is infinity.

Beyond each person is love. A personality changes. A body, a mind, a complex of behaviour is always changing. Beyond each personality there is unchanging love; love is what you are! When you lose yourself, you will find your self !

The event behind the event is knowledge. The object behind the object is infinity. The person behind the person is love.

Maya – delusion – is when you are stuck in events, personalities or objects. Brahman – divine consciousness – is seeing beyond all these.

See??? Just a little shift….!!!

Have a wonderful Day...and do keep smiling....

Duty is God!

Good Morning Friends...Let's refresh...!

karmanyevaadhi kaarasthe
maaphaleshu kadaachana!
Maakarma phala hethurbhooh
Maathe sangothsva karmani !! II.47

To work is your only right,
and never to attain the fruit
let the object be not the fruit of action
nor attachment, to your inaction !!

"Arjuna, your duty is to do the work. You have no right to anticipate the fruit of action. Let not your aim be the cause for worry, as regards the fruit of your action. Also, there should not be any cause for stopping the work, when once it is undertaken. Your are expected to do your work sincerely. You have authority to do that. When once it is done, your job is over. You should not anticipate the specific results. You should leave it to Me (God).

Imagining simultaneously, that you have nothing as regards its fruit, you should not give it up. Moral standards expect you to do your work consciously. With the intention of keeping the above in view, you should undertake the works. "

The word 'Kadaachana' used in the sloka expect you not to anticipate, the result of your work. It can, thus, be concluded that it is nishkaama karma or the work without wishful thinking, that pays in the long run!

Be happy...and keep smiling....

The Perfect Plan !

Our life is perfect. It is a perfect plan; it is a spontaneous miracle. It is both, every moment.

The creation is perfect. How do birds know to migrate? Have we ever thought of it? How do maple leaves know to turn crimson and fall to the ground? Winter sets in and we think that we will never feel the sun again, but then we see the first green shoots of spring bursting through the snow. How does the flower survive? It is a miracle.

The human body is a perfectly planned machine. How could our net work of bones, veins, muscles and organs ever have been created? We look into the eyes of new born and we are speechless!

We have only to open our eyes for few seconds to observe the unfathomable intelligence at play.

And what about us and our life? Do we think that this perfect Creator stops with us? We spend endless hours trying to figure out, why this and why that. Do we ever wonder why trees give out oxygen? We don’t question that part of the plan. But when it comes to our own lives we question constantly!

The mind tries to figure out that, which cannot be understood. Trust in the plan of Creation. Nature, who has brilliantly designed the creation down to the very atom, will spend no less attention on the details of our life. Our situation, our challenges are all perfect.

So let us Relax, trust and let go!

Have wonderful and happy times, always!

And....of course keep smiling...

Humari mehfil ko fasaana mil gaya
pyar ki gazlon ko taraana mil gaya
aap ki dosti aisi mili dost,
jaise khuda ki taraf se koi nazraana mil gaya.

Aasman mein kitne taare hain, koi hisaab nahin
Baag mein kitne phool hain par sab gulab nahin
Aur kisi ehsaas ko tho hum jaanthe nahin
par ye sach hai, aapki dosti ka jawab nahin !

kuch to jite hai jannant ki tamanna lekar
kuch tamannaye jina sikha deti hai
ham kiske sahaare jiyen
zindagi roj ek tamnna badaa dethi hai !

Dosthi ko dil se churaaya aapne
Dur rehthe hue bhi apna banaaya aapne
Bhool nahi paayenge hum aapko
kyunki yaad rakhna bhi tho sikhaya aapne !

Kuch rishthe anjane me ban jaathe hain,
pehle dil, fir zindagi se jud jaathe hain.
Kehte hain is rishte ko DOSTI.
Jisme dil se dil na jaane kab mil jaate hain !

kya kahe kuch kaha nahin jata,
dard mita hai par saha nahin jata,
dosti ho gayi hai iss kadar aap sab se,
ki bina yaad kiye raha nahin jata !

Aakhon me kyun aansu jhalak jate hai,
Tanhayiyon me kyun gham yaad aate hai,
Aansu pochkar koi yeh batha de hume,
Dur rehne wale dost hi aksar kyun yaad aate hain....???

Smile ever udaas never
Speak ever gum sum never
Share ever hide never
Care ever leave me never
Think me ever forget me never !

Har ek se achi baat karna FITRAT hai hamari,
har ek khush rahe ye HASRAT hai hamari,
koi hum ko yaad kare ya naa kare,
har ek ko yaad karna aadat hai hamari !

****************************************************
Work as if you have no need of the money...
Love as if no body ever made you suffer..
Dance as if no body is watching you..
Sing as if no body is hearing you....
Live as if the Paradise were on this earth !

Keep smiling....always...Hum sab saath saath hain...

Hum hai raahi pyaar ke...yunhi milthe rahenge sunthe sunaathe, likthe padthe...!

Beliefs..Let's share..

Merry Christmas....

Let's know about some beliefs of our Christian brethren...

Christians believe in God the Father, Creator of the universe,
reigning forever over man,
his beloved creation.

They believe that man
is a born sinner and that
he may know salvation
only through the Saviour,
Jesus Christ, God's
only begotten Son.

They believe that
Jesus Christ was
born of Mary, a Virgin.

that Jesus Christ was
crucified on the cross
then resurrected from
the dead and now sits
at the right hand of the
Father as the final
Judge of the dead.
HE will return again
as prophesized.

that the soul is embodied
for a single life time
but is immortal and
accountable
to God for
all thoughts and actions.

they believe in the historical
truth of the Holy Bible,
a Sacred Scripture
and the only word of their God.

they believe upon death
and according to its
earthly deeds and its
acceptance of the
Christian faith,
the soul enters Heaven,
Purgatory or Hell.

They believe that
the soul awaits for
the last Judgement
when the dead
shall rise again, the
redeemed to enjoy
life everlasting and
the unsaved to
suffer eternally.

They believe in the Holy Trinity
of God who reveals Himself as
Father, Son and Holy Ghost
and in the existence of Satan, the personification of
evil deception and darkness.

On this holy Day let us wish every living being a Merry Christmas. Let us have regard for mankind as a whole and try to live in harmony.

Love one and all....

Change...

There is change. Our body has undergone so many changes! If we look at our childhood photographs many times we will have to say “This is me”. Our friends may not recognize us. We would have looked very different when we were young. Our appearance would have changed. The body has changed in size and shape. Our thoughts have undergone many changes. The way we feel has changed, hasn’t it?

About a particular thing we would have felt good some days ago and then suddenly we would have felt not so good and then again we would have felt good! We identify ourselves by things that change.

Probing a little beyond that, when we say,”Oh I am a very angry person” we usually justify our position of being angry. In doing that we are actually hanging on to the past. This is just a moment, a fleeting one. It comes and goes. A thought comes and goes. And opinion changes, jobs change, relationships change, friends change. Everything around us keeps on changing. Whether we want or not, whether we like or not.

Yet we can hold on to that one thing which does not change in us. That is we ourselves! We must learn to be with that! Some centered point in us, has not changed. It is the same principle responsible for all the qualities of a flower! The colour, the shape, the size, the shape…The same intelligence is the entire creation.

When we realize this a grand unification happens in the consciousness. Our perception changes. Then, whenever we look at anything or we hear anything we do it sincerely. We merge with the feeling. There is a definite difference in the quality of perception that brings unification with the object of perception.

Success in life and success in the world or two things. Attending to the above-mentioned source, its inquiry and living in that joy and unconditional love, is real success in life!

So friends let us accept the changes with a smiling face and become one with the changes without losing our centeredness and try to live happily and cheerfully.

Warna doondthe reh jaayenge...khushiyon ko...

Have a cheerful and joyful week end!

Keep smiling.

Chitra.

Bankruptcy explained

Hi Friends. Tense situation...But life has to go on...Nothing is permanent. Everything changes. Even this will pass away. May be our country too will shake up and wake up and start being prepared henceforth for the worst.. This is going to be a lesson. We have to learn from mistakes. I think instead of blaming the politicians it would be better if people take charge and force those selfish lot to adopt all possible measures to safeguard the citizens alongwith their power, wealth and selfishness! Jin pe guzartha hai wohi jaane wo dard... Yahi hai wo khaayar haiwaan jo kehthe hain apne aap ko mard... Let us pray for every departed soul and for the people left behind them, to suffer life long. Let us congratulate the rescue team. ################################## Well my dear friends, when I first read this, I felt like sitting up and reading again and I did just that. hahaha...what a wonderful economy! Bankruptcy explained but it is as complicated as the economy. I thought let me activate every body's brain (sorry...sorry...only if it is not already activated...) The first time I read although it did not get into my head completely, frankly speaking...after my busy day with hectic schedules...still I felt like reading it once again...that's the catch, may be... Once there was a little island country. The land of this country was the tiny island itself. The total money in circulation was 2 dollars as there were only two pieces of 1 dollar coins circulating around. 1) There were 3 citizens living on this island country. A owned the land. B and C each owned 1 dollar. 2) B decided to purchase the land from A for 1 dollar. So, now A and C own 1 dollar each while B owned a piece of land that is worth 1 dollar. * The net asset of the country now = 3 dollars. 3) Now C thought that since there is only one piece of land in the country, and land is non producible asset, its value must definitely go up. So, he borrowed 1 dollar from A, and together with his own 1 dollar, he bought the land from B for 2 dollars. *A has a loan to C of 1 dollar, so his net asset is 1 dollar. * B sold his land and got 2 dollars, so his net asset is 2 dollars. * C owned the piece of land worth 2 dollars but with his 1 dollar debt to A, his net residual asset is 1 dollar. * Thus, the net asset of the country = 4 dollars. 4) A saw that the land he once owned has risen in value. He regretted having sold it. Luckily, he has a 1 dollar loan to C. He then borrowed 2 dollars from B and acquired the land back from C for 3 dollars. The payment is by 2 dollars cash (which he borrowed) and cancellation of the 1 dollar loan to C. As a result, A now owned a piece of land that is worth 3 dollars. But since he owed B 2 dollars, his net asset is 1 dollar. * B loaned 2 dollars to A. So his net asset is 2 dollars. * C now has the 2 coins. His net asset is also 2 dollars. * The net asset of the country = 5 dollars. A bubble is building up. (5) B saw that the value of land kept rising. He also wanted to own the land. So he bought the land from A for 4 dollars. The payment is by borrowing 2 dollars from C, and cancellation of his 2 dollars loan to A. * As a result, A has got his debt cleared and he got the 2 coins. His net asset is 2 dollars. * B owned a piece of land that is worth 4 dollars, but since he has a debt of 2 dollars with C, his net Asset is 2 dollars. * C loaned 2 dollars to B, so his net asset is 2 dollars. * The net asset of the country = 6 dollars; even though, the country has only one piece of land and 2 Dollars in circulation. (6) Everybody has made money and everybody felt happy and prosperous. (7) One day an evil wind blew, and an evil thought came to C's mind. "Hey, what if the land price stop going up, how could B repay my loan. There is only 2 dollars in circulation, and, I think after all the land that B owns is worth at most only 1 dollar, and no more." (8) A also thought the same way. (9) Nobody wanted to buy land anymore. * So, in the end, A owns the 2 dollar coins, his net asset is 2 dollars. * B owed C 2 dollars and the land he owned which he thought worth 4 dollars is now 1 dollar. So his net asset is only 1 dollar. * C has a loan of 2 dollars to B. But it is a bad debt. Although his net asset is still 2 dollars, his Heart is palpitating. * The net asset of the country = 3 dollars again. (10) So, who has stolen the 3 dollars from the country? Of course, before the bubble burst B thought his land was worth 4 dollars. Actu all y, right before the collapse, the net asset of the country was 6 dollars on paper. B's net asset is still 2 dollars, his heart is palpitating. (11) B had no choice but to declare bankruptcy. C as to relinquish his 2 dollars bad debt to B, but in return he acquired the land which is worth 1 dollar now. * A owns the 2 coins; his net asset is 2 dollars. * B is bankrupt; his net asset is 0 dollar. (He lost everything) * C got no choice but end up with a land worth only 1 dollar * the net asset of the country = 3 dollars. ****************** End of the story **************** But...... There is however a redistribution of wealth. A is the winner, B is the loser, C is lucky that he is spared. A few points worth noting - (1) when a bubble is building up, the debt of individuals to one another in a country is also building up. (2) This story of the island is a closed system whereby there is no other country and hence no foreign debt. The worth of the asset can only be calculated using the island's own currency. Hence, there is no net loss. (3) An over-damped system is assumed when the bubble burst, meaning the land's value did not go down to below 1 dollar. (4) When the bubble burst, the fellow with cash is the winner. The fellows having the land or extending loan to others are the losers. The asset could shrink or in worst case, they go bankrupt. (5) If there is another citizen D either holding a dollar or another piece of land but refrains from taking part in the game, he will neither win nor lose. But he will see the value of his money or land goes up and down like a see saw. (6) When the bubble was in the growing phase, everybody made money. (7) If you are smart and know that you are living in a growing bubble, it is worthwhile to borrow money (like A) and take part in the game. But you must know when you should change everything back to cash. (8) As in the case of land, the above phenomenon applies to stocks as well. (9) The actual worth of land or stocks depends largely on psychology (or speculation) USE OWN PROVERB TO GET LUCK, COZ CHINESE ARE SEARCHING FOR ALTERNATIVE, DONT THINK OF "MONEY CHAIN". Could you understand?....I couldn't......the first time... BETTER START FROM THE BEGINNING..... Never mind even if you did not...Cheers...Thanks for spending your valuable time... Keep smiling..... Chitra.
