I think that I am an extremely fortunate person in this world.I got the chance to attend Rahat Fateh Ali Khan saab's concert aptly titled the Legends of India at Kamani Auditorium in Delhi on 25th May '08. The maestro started the evening's prog with his own sufi compositions, and needless to say, the spectators were left speechless. People requested him to sing Jiya Dhadak Dhadak, Main Jahan Rahoon, and other songs that he sang for the Bollywood, and he obliged. But he also requested the audience that as the programme was a solely classical one, they should also experience other sufi songs as well.
He sang continuosly for three hrs. After the recital was over, the whole auditorium seemed to collapse with the sound of applauses. Although the seating capasity of the hall was 665,over a thousand people came to watch their favourite singer.
My happiness knew no bounds when I could finally touch his feet and seek his blessings. He even signed my autograph book. I m indeed very fortunate
