History of Aloe vera dates back to more than 4000 yrs, probably even older. This plant is referred in the Holy Bible, in the Holy koran and also in the Hindu vedas. In Egypt, it is said that Aloe vera was used in the preservation of Mummies alongwith Honey. Beauty Queen Cleopatra was said to take bath in water containing Aloe vera. King Alexendra, the great, was advised by his subordinate, to use Aloe vera to help his soldiers recover from wounds during war. Lately, even Our father of nation, Shri Mohanchand K. Gandhiji, consumed Aloe vera to sustain during his long fasts. In India, Vaids/Hakims used Aloe vera in the potions to treat Rajas/Maharajas. (more in the next topic)
