Favorite Music & Artists : Its difficult naming all my favs here. Anything melodious stopping short of noise is of my liking. From classical Hindustani & Carnatic music to semi-classical to contemporary music whichever sets free the child in me is my fav. I get immersed in the long drawn raga at times while jump around in joy listening to Bhangra beats. Lataji is my love so are Asha, Kishore Kumar, Gita Dutt, Rafi, Abhijeet, Sonu Nigam, Kavita Krishnamoorty et al. The Ghazals sung by Jagjit Singh, Pankaj Udhas, Gulam Ali et al never fail to pull a string or two. I am also a fan of MS Subbulakshmi and M Balamuralikrishna for their excellent manifestation of southern classics especially by Tyagaraja & Deekshitaar. Symphonies of Mozart and Beethoven just soothe my soul. New genre is also heard but I forget names. I love Yanni. |

Favorite Books & Authors : Many, many, many, many..... It is a grave injustice if I name just a few. I have a big collection. Some are not yet finished. Sigh... I wish I worked in a library. |
|
Favorite Movies, Actors & Directors : Anybody doing a lot of comedy. Like Munna Bhai and Circuit. Any ROTFLMAO stuff. Spielberg movies, I can't resist Tom & Jerry and all movies my kids love to watch. My favs: John Travolta, Harrison Ford, Nicolas Cage, Angelina Jolie, Amitabh, Shahrukh, Aamir & Paresh rawal. |
